i have 8 cfls... 6 daylight 2 bright white which produce approx. 13000lumens. my plant grows nicely. like stated above heat lamps will do just that. you want to get baked not your plant. 2-3 23w daylight cfl's would be perfect for a plant.

i made a mistake and since my babies were on 24/0 they got no rest period for the sulfur in that product to dry without burning leaves :( so yes it works but make sure you do it during lights off or take them away from the light for like 20-30 min to dry

yes it ill smell. the strength would depend on strain but it will be noticeable. the soil should be mix preferably with perlite so as to have great aeration.

You do not need to do 18/6 you can do 24/0. Some say they notice more "growth" when they let their plants receive a dark cycle. In fact they do grow. Stem growth to be exact which is if what your looking for then that is fine. 24/0 will keep the plant vegging for 24hrs. While the plant will not...
