I have never used sukanat but if subcool is recommending it then im sure its probably tried and true.
My personal favorite sugar products are Cutting Edge Solutions "Sugaree" but it is only for use in the last few weeks or flowering for flavor... Its expensive and hard to justify price wise, but it smells better then most and has a variety of sugar carbs (simple and complex).
My favorite sugar product for everyday all phase use is Tropical Organics Banana Extract , it is great for thc/flavor production. They make another product called Coco Cat that will help with nutrient absorbtion and stress relief... I know a lot of people that swear by these 2 products used together and you can even lower you EC when using Coco Cat... Both products are also expensive but the coco cat calls for as little as 5 drops per gallon.
Sugar mixed with light in your water tank can cause algea growth fyi
