  • the white will reflect better than the foil, in my last grow i used GH nutes but now im back to fox farm
yeah you can do the freezer thing, if your short on cash then a few cfl's along with your floro light will do the trick, i used a small freezer for a grow once, the problem was heat and venting, you have to cut a few holes in to the thing and get yourself a small fan to push air out the top, the good thing about the freezer is its already white so thats one less thing to worry about
for the light only like 20 40 dollars i dont want to spend 100s on a light for only 3 plants u no cuz i have to get other stuff it would be amazing if i can just get the same bulb for my light fixture just more wattage but idk
Ok Ive never done a freezer grow but what amount of room do you have. The light is a problem considering heat. They have some T5 setups that will vegg and flower and I know that you can get those for as cheap as 60$ from my hydro store they are Hydrofarm T5s.
Ok listen maryj I suggested keeping the light that you have considering your on a budget. I have 8 plants under 6 40w bulbs flouros and they are over 20 inches tall I have been using them since day 1. So with that being said you can use the 40w to get you plants going, of course a 400w mh will be far beyond a 40w and the hps of course is on another level. If you have the money to step it up a little let me know and well talk about getting you setup.
1000 letters hit before sorry, heres the part 2--- here are the 81 other letters ---

so you might just have to buy 2 ballasts for the 2 lights so you can veg in one area and flower in the other...

I also recommend you build a cloning area so that you can harvest on a regular basis.... ;D
    Hi Mary J

I wouldnt say you could grow succesfully with a single tube, also a freezer is very small, atleast mine is.... its only 50 cm's high and wide....

so i dont know if you have one of those big body bag freezers :D IF yes, then yes that would be a neat area to start a vegitation area... But only VEG !

I would recommend you spend 600 dollars on a growbox, charcol filter, Lights, Reflectors, pots & Earth.....

Buy the best you can with your budget, if you need help with it i can help you out.

As for the Florescent light, its not going to be good in veg either... maybe for clones & seeds but after that you will want a 400w mh or hps with blue light.

I would just buy a 600w with 2 bulbs, one for veg and one for flowering..

this way you wont have any problems vegin and flowering, the only bad thing about it is, that you can flower and veg at the same time..
Im not quite sure what your talking about the freezer. The molasses you can use as soon as 10-14 days into life Its sugar and the sugar feeds the mocroorganisms in your soil and the micros break down the nutrients so that the plant can process them better. It will improve smell flavor and density or weight also.
Um yeah it is going to take longer for vegg but thats ok you cant rush perfection lol. For the nutes I use a full line of organic nutes, ROOTS ORGANICS. If I was you I would get at least like some GROW nutes and some BLOOM nutes minimum. You can also get some HPK from ROOTS ORGANICS also which will help alot. If your going to stay with SOIL growing get some UNSULPHERED MOLASSES and add 1 TBSP for every gallon and also use it everytime you feed and water but not for about the first 10-14 days of life. Oh and to find these nutes go to discount-hydro.com its the cheapest place I have found to buy them. :bigjoint:
You can ask as many questions as you need for a sucessful grow, I have to do it all the time. I think thats why were all here to grow. lol anytime you need to hit me up.
Hey bud the flouro will work but I will let you know rite now you probably have a really fluffy or airy bud only becuse the blue spectrum will promote growth but not really density. If you can get some CFLs which are just compact fluorescent light they will do a little better.
Well I use 6 40w bulbs and rite now there are 8 under those lights so figure you could get probably 3 under 40 watts but what are you going to flower with.
Sorry dude. i don't know shit about CFL lighting.
You need to search for some CFL threads.
    All the best.
Hard to say with watering because it depends on size of plant and pot. But don't over water.
Water once well so water runs out bottom of pot. Then only re-water when pot feels light to lift.
Better to have them a little dry than too wet.
You need to give plants 18rs of light for them to grow. 12hrs if you want them to flower.
