  • so your canadian huh gibbs? this chick i just started grown with is also.. do you also like them booboo spliffs like most canadians
well one thing you want to take into consideration is future upgrades.. that could save you tons of money down the road.. heck man my space changes almost every harvest, but thats just me always trying to improve and better my grow.. for me its not so much about making money, but more a quest for cultivation excelence..
    are you bay area Gibbs?
i thought you already did that isnt it 12.5 x 15 x 7.5 h? if thats correct i can draw some scetches for you using those mesurments and equiptment you have..

aslo the cooler im thinking of building is for cooling air cooled lights.. im jealous of the smoke man i am dry for about a week till my friends crop is done
dude go out and get a roll of panda plastic and about 20 2x4's and start building some walls bro put that equiptment to work for you
It SEEMS to fatten them up, but I'm not sure if it's the molasses or the natural progression. Still weeks away from harvest, so no clue about the taste. Just using info from here I've read and trying it out
also man when your ready to build a timer panel let me know and i will write you a material list, and help you step by step in set up..
hey gibbs, i fliped that system a bit. I took your traditional DWC system with an air stone in each bucket and about 7" of water and I added the benifits of aroponics with 2 micro jets in each bucket misting the roots every hr..
correct, it is caramelicious. But no i'm not growing it. i plan on it tho in my next grow
Thanks man, I can see your is coming along very nicely as well. I haven't been updating much lately, but I assure u this buds are getting full and stinky. I think I'm gonna phase out the orange and stick with the ak48 from nirvana. It's flowering way faster, and smelling way funkier, with trics everywhere! Will probably post some update pics within the next few weeks.
Thanx mate. I just give them veg' nutrient as shown on the feed shedule I got. For my current grow I've been using Canna Aqua Vega A+B & Rhizotonic, and also been using Superthrive as a "part C" additive too. Keeping water ph between 5.6-5.8 (best for the medium I'm using!!) And I put a LOT of love & care into all my growing/feeding too and they seem to love me back!! ;)
flood and drain works like this; you have a reservoir. Turbogardens for example have a 25 gallon reservoir. A tray sits on top of the res. The tray holds plants. A timer periodically turns on a pump which floods the upper tray and the plants in it. 15 minutes 3 or 4 times a day. Your job is just to keep the res topped off and change it out completely every two weeks. DWC means deep water culture. Lots of beginners try this because it looks like there are less moving parts. Your plants just basically sit in the lid of a rubbermaid tub with their roots dangling in water which is aerated by air pumps. Root rot and plant death is often the result.

You have a lot of equipment. I'd work with the 400s for now, since the heat demands are far, far less.

Yes, those purple plants were from clones. The funny thing is I didn't mean to clone them. I had decided to not grow them again (bagseed schwag; I couldn't make it good nohow) but somehow I took cuttings anyway cause I got my moms mixed up. Stoner, lol. The reason they got so big is I didn't have room to flower them and they were vegging with some other stuff that I didn't want to flower so I couldn't just flip them so I waited and they got too big.

Anyway, if you are interested in hydro, I recommend flood and drain for starters. It's much easier than dwc and more likely to lead to success for a beginner. The turbogardens I use are cheap ($220) with pumps and pots and rocks. One of those under a 400W light will provide abundant buds.
I'm currently growing 12 new plants from seed; White Russian, Northern Lights x Skunk and more of that good ole Chronic. I'll pick the best looking one of each for mothers and flower the rest. So killing my last batch of mothers shouldn't make me skip a beat. I AM on my game :)
