  • this is alot of info to comprehend if this your first grow but i can tell you that you will definitely need a larger space & usually the 2 main causes of leafs looking burnt is nutrients either to much or not enough & the light if its touching the plant. by the way I spray my plants everyday with a squirt bottle full of water - keep that up cause that will not cause your leafs to burn up & its good for plants. your bottoms leafs once your plants get 6 inches might start to turn yellow - these leafs that are turning yellow are usually your fan leafs which eventually die off because of lack of light hitting the bottom which is ok and nothing to worry about
let me ask you by any chance is the area your growing in air tight? cause if it is your going to need an inline exhaust fan which brings fresh air into the room from outside the room and you will need a carbon filter that has a squirl cage fan attached to it which basically sucks in all the bad smelly air from your grow room & shoots it through the filter which means no smell & co2 which should be on a timer to turn on every 15 min and off 15min but once you switch to flowering the co2 is only supposed to be on when the lights are on. if your area is air tight & you cant afford all this equipment because it does get expensive & you dont care about the smell depending on your situation then I would suggest opening up your grow area which will bring fresh air into it & dont forget to get a fan but dont put the fan on full blast because you can burn your plants (sounds weird but its wind burn). you just want a nice breeze. whats your ph?
Whats up man...Yea im from the east coast - ive always wanted to go to cali ...as far as your plants - burnt tips on leafs are either from to much nutrients depending on what your using, sometimes lack of certain nutrients will cause the leaves to turn yellow, also the lights can burn the leafs but since your using a cfl as long as the light is not touching the leafs that should not be the problem. Also i would definitely suggest a bigger grow area because you stated your space is 3 ft high and 2 ft wide - you also have to take into consideration the height of the system or if your using soil the height of the pots you grow in, the space the light is going to take up since you should upgrade to a 400watt hps, dont forget your going to need a osculating fan(which rotates & gives ur plants some fresh air).
thanx bruv. defo have a look into it, im using a 150 watt cfl and currently only have two now due to space, they are both on there 3rd sprout/tier and are growing well, however in the last few days ive noticed some almost burnt tips of the bottom few leaves could this be that the the light and area they are growing in is too small/hot? its 3 foot high and 2 ft wide, knowing they were indica's i presumed that would be just about enough cos they bush more than grow tall correct? i am still keeping an eye on them to whether or not its me splashing some of the water onto them which has burnt them after the lights hitting it?!?! but im keeping my eye on them for a few nights and so far there has been no further damage, it is growing healthy and looks healthy as ive been taking more care to watering them. all helps appreciated... PS where u from in the states fella? wanna go cali man!
