On the top shelf is where I veg, I use a rainforest that I converted to aeroponic it has six three inch sites. I leave them in there till they get a good set of roots then move them to waterfarms.

I use an 4' 8 tube t5 fixture in a closet like yours, with a 6" muffin fan pulling air thru. no stretching or heat problems. the sunblasters work great for extra light where you want as well.

Thats real close to how I do mine, but I have to have a couple of bends in ducting to block out the light. What have you done to keep the light from one to the other? another thing is that I run my hps light at night, keeps it warm for winter nights and cool for summer afternoons
I have seen some people do this and use large coolers for the res, they are light proof so it will help with the algae, and keeps your nutes temp in order... and they come with drain valves
To smoke it I use charcoal tablets, used for burning incense, drop a bit on and use a straw. They burn hot and clean or thin with alcohol and put on the paper
I used to do this a while back but i used white 1 1/2" pvc pipe and end caps.. one hole in the top for the butane a coffee filter in the bottom then the end cap with five or six holes, once done the end caps come off and the leftover falls out. mine was about 16" long and would hold about 1 oz...
