Cherry Pie and Ken's GDP x Coco & LED

Finally back in the groove of things. Took a leave of absence from journaling my adventures of gardening. But the time is right for a fresh start. I picked up some new babies this afternoon. Pretty stoked about the strains: 3 Cherry Pie and 3 Ken's GDP.

Ken's GDP has been a long time favorite strain of mine. It's truly a smoker's delight so I'm honored and excited to be growing them. I grew Ken's Kush last year and absolutely loved it and it was a breeze to grow so I'm hoping the same for the GDP. The Cherry Pie was kind of an impulse purchase. I wanted something with a bit more sativa in it. So another superb strain that I'm looking forward to seeing how I can do with them. They all look healthy and pest/disease free.

I'll be running these clones under my Advanced LED DS XML 150 for veg for a week or so before adding in my Apache Tech AT120WR (3:2). Total wattage with both lights will be right around 300W in a 3'x3' tent. The plan is to veg for 1.5 to 4 weeks, depending on how anxious I get to start blooming these ladies.

Still rocking the CANNA Coco with the full CANNA line of nutrients with a few of my own additions. Here is the line up:

Veg:
Canna A & B
Canna Rhizotonic
Cannazym
Great White
MagiCal
Silica Blast

Bloom:
Canna A & B
Canna Rhizotonic
Cannazym
Great White
MagiCal
Silica Blast
Canna Boost
PK 13/14 (~weeks 3-5 roughly)
MOAB (last 2 weeks or so)

This combination has worked out pretty nice for me so far. Every harvest has been beautiful, reeking of quality, and potent as fuck. Expecting nothing short of top notch this round.

Here's the pics of the lil gals all transplanted and in their new homes which are 2 gallon smart pots:

About time.... :-P
The time was right. I've been having withdraws from being in my tent. Went to a few gardeners anonymous meetings, but nothing could seem to fill the void. I feel complete again. Glad to have you, CK!

Welcome back to growing, clones look good and your set up all clean and neat:)
Thanks jubiare! Hope I can keep everything that way...

hey robert, thanks for stopping by. I noticed some slight burn on a few leaf tips, and of course some of those taco leaves when I brought them home. Not sure what they were being feed or what kind of light they were under at the dispensary, but I'm not at all worried. They should start to clear up in the next few days after a couple low dose feedings and they get acclimated to their new home. thanks for subbing, looking forward to having you around.

Ken's = amazing genetics. I should have picked up an 1/8 while I was there to puff on while I stare at my girls!

Who's this guy? Apache Tech? Man they'll give anyone a journal on this site :o.
Fran, my autobiography is not finished yet. I'll be sure you get a signed copy when published though. It will be an instant classic. Will come with pop-up pictures and everything. Apache Tech is the same technology used by native americans for planting maiz, half science half witchcraft. I had to bribe and beg to get this journal up, I'm a little ashamed of the things I did...

Well, at least you've got something to keep you busy aside from jealously watching the party cup competition :p
Haha, absolutely! I'm loving the party cup competition and everything that's going on in there. I'm tempted to get a cup of my own just for shits and giggles.

Sup, big dawg! Glad you made it over for my magic carpet ride. Hope you brought some more munchies than just popcorn, because this show is sure to make you want to light up and munch on some goodies!

Now that's what I'm talking about! I want to feel strung out after these ladies are done. The guy at the dispensary actually told me the cherry pie had a bit more sativa in them than the GDP, so we'll see. You can subscribe by clicking "thread tools" > "subscribe to this thread" near the top of the journal. hope you stick around, let me know how your cherry pie turns out. good luck.

Hey Puff glad your up and growing again. I'm gonna enjoy this since KGDP has been one of my faves since my old friend got some for a little while. Or at least I think it was. He called it "Grandaddy Purk", and since communications was never his strong suite, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it was the street title for Ken's. And if Cherry Pie is more narcotic than GDP, I don't even wanna know about it since what I smoked was way past "couchlock" and more of a "Let's Waste a Weekend Drooling on the Couch"-lock. Very thick almost oily smoke. Loved it.

Oh and could you send me some GDP with my autographed copy just so I can be sure? I'll PM you what I want you to write when you autograph it, just remember to wash your hands thoroughly before handling it. Thanks.

ROFL.

Puuuuuff!!! Let's do this thing! Ive been waiting to be able to watch one of your's firsthand!

PTTSH!! Back row's the best seat in the house..

I have been curious, ppl say purp's lack their potency, hopefully youll be able to tell me wether LEDs compensate for this and allows us heavy tokers to enjoy the colour mix without losing our high.

SUBBED. and so stoked :D

Better late than never. glad to have you aboard! about mixing perlite with the coco, it's been a combination of being lazy/forgetting this is a test i'd like to run, side by side with straight coco, and also having great results without it. i have heard some say slightly better yields with perlite, others say no difference. only way to know is to try it myself. maybe next run, if i remember.

hi scotch, thanks for subbing up! who says purps lack in potency?? i've found it's usually people who tend to favor sativas who say that they don't care for purple strains. i am a lover of all kinds of strains and enjoy a variety in my stash. i haven't had any purple strains under my leds yet so i'm excited to see how they do. i don't think good purple strains need any compensating at all. they will knock you out.

Pics coming soon. the babies survived the transplant and are on day 2 of veg. And with that update, i'm out to get ready for the game. Let's go Niners! Hopefully we'll be eating some fried dirty bird sandwiches later.

Start of Day 3 Veg. They are looking ok so far. Nothing new or crazy to update on. Temps and humidity are a bit on the low side this morning, 71 degrees and 36%. Need to see the temps a bit higher, and maybe get the RH up a few percentages too. It's nothing unmanageable at this point so I'm not worried. Other than that, so far so good. I'll be updating every few days. The apache tech will be added in next weekend. Thanks for stopping in.

Thanks slinger! I know the feeling, I've been trying to get a hold of the kgdp for a while now and every time I went to get them they would be out and instead of waiting id just grab some other strains, making my wait even longer. I've been lurking around your journal, keep up the good work!
