Day 1 of Flower:
Ok everyone.... time to post up grow #2.

This time I have 2 fem Great White Sharks from Green House Seed Co. under a Lighthouse Blackstar 500 with the glass removed. I started these under cfls while my big bangs where finishing in the tent. They where then put into 3 gallon smart pots and put under the LED for a few weeks. They are about 5 weeks old from germination. Temps have been good 75f-82f with lights on. The last feeding was with 850ppm. Also they probably look small because I took most of the main stem fan leaves off. BTW: is there any difference posting in the led section vs the journal section?

And a big thanks to all the supporters of my last grow!! :hug: Hopefully you will come along for the ride on this one. Its sure to be a blast.:hump:

TMU what up! I think the mods are a bit lenient with everyone's grow journals around here since so few people grow with LEDs compared to other lights and they are probably smart enough to realize that we're trying to learn here in what's a relatively young way of growing meds. Plus who wants to be in Grow Journal hell :)? I mean who's seen this journal that's posted in the Grow Journals section?

Guys modded his PG180 so he can adjust the fan speeds and shows you how to do it. Should totally be posted in here. But since he's in the Grow Journal section..........

Day 4 of Flower:
Today I found pistils on both plants. YAY both are female:clap:. Everything is going smoothly, just rolling along. Iv added some aluminum wire to help train the plant where I want it to grow.

They were in the rubbermaid for 3 weeks and then were put into 3 gallon smart pots and vegged for a little over 2 weeks under the Blackstar. This is my second grow and first try at lst. It seems when you lst the plant puts more energy into the main stem to grow it big. That and There are almost no fan leaves still on the main stem which is why it may look a bit on the small side. The rubbermaid is definitely not as good for vegging as the blackstar. I started them at about 18" from the blackstar but they are currently around 12". Might go closer but not sure yet.

Great, Thanks for the info.

I vegged my girls under cfl's as well before getting my led panel. Next time around I want to go led from day 1 to finish (maybe some supplemental cfl's for heat, if needed). I only started using the led panel for flowering and at first was tentative and kept the panel 16-18" above the plants. But as I lost room in my original cab the plants grew closer and closer. Right before I got my new tent the top cola of the biggest plant was literally touching the led panel. It remained this way for 2 days with no ill effects so I'm no longer as concerned with distance as I was.

PS - I LST'd the shit out of 3 of my plants. I ran out of space and had to veg them for like 75 days before I had room in the flowering tent. let me tell you this: They look small as shit until they start to flower, Then they explode!
