My First Grow - Opinions/Advice?

sub'd i have 3 SDG @ week 6 and they have white hairs everywhere doesnt look like they will be done for awhile but looks like they will be good producers. Curious how long you are going to take your SDG havent seen alot of people grow it out and post flower times or smoke/harvest reports

Thanks for the reply, from what i've read the SDG is about an 8 week flowering plant, but I am now coming into my 9th week of flower and its still growing, the small branches have especially fattened out in the 8th week. I'd say its still at about 20-30% cloudy trichomes, im going to wait until they are 80-90% cloudy or when i see the first signs of amber trichomes before chopping.

since this is my first grow so i can't really say how much im expecting for harvest. It's certainly produced a lot of crystals though and is very sticky to the touch so imagine it will be a potent plant, from what i've read they can produce up to 19% THC. I imagine the BW and SDG will be ready for harvest by some point next week hopefully, ready for when i get back from amsterdam! ill get lots of photos of the harvest!

Opinions as to when people think i should harvest are very welcome! am i going about it the right way?

your plants look much better than mine did at that stage, ur going to get a lot of frosty buds! truth is i've made a fair amount of mistakes with this grow, and am supprised they are doing as well as they are.

Hey all, few more pics of my plants. Half way through week 9 of flower now, they are really close to being ready i think, but wouldnt mind some opinions as to when other people think they may be ready to harvest?

Just started flushing the Moby dick today, its leaves are really starting to dry up now and some nice bud development. Should be ready to harvest within 1-2 weeks i think

The Blue widow and the SDG should be done by the end of the week hopefully, im going on trichome development. Would harvesting when i see the first signs of amber trichomes be a good time? I really want to to avoid cutting them down before they are at their biggest and most potent. Can try post a few pics of trich development if wanted.

wish i could help you out bro. does it look like the buds are still swelling? My SDG buds are still swelling and putting out white hairs like crazy but i'm only on week 7(dont have a scope). I think yours may have a couple more days the buds still have that green look not that amber color alot of folk talk about. Look from the sides and see if you can see any white hairs still producing if not i would say its pretty much done. if you still see a few hairs i would go another half a week or so.

Just checked again, both the SDG and the blue widow seem to still be producing white hairs on a few buds so i take it they are still swelling. Will give it another half a week to a week. Thanks for the reply!

question.. how did u get a hold of that tube for ur light fixture. i have the same fixture as u. where did u get that tube over the light to allow ventilation?

I actually got it on ebay along with most of my equipment. Its a pretty simple piece of equipment just as long as its set up correctly, i dont think its worth spending huge amounts of money on a reflector. Here is a similar one, if not the same one as mine:

It really did make a huge diference in temps and allowed my to bring the light bulb much closer than to the plants than when i had it bare bulb, so would highly recommend getting one if using a HID setup.

You SDG looks awesome man, i imagine ur going to get much bigger buds that I have.. they're already huge! Hopefully my second grow will be as nice as yours
