No i dont have a carbon filter, I was going to wait to see how bad the smell got before spending more money. I only thought this because ive seen videos where people say its stank out their entire house. Good to know though, thanks for the reply!

well, i'll wait to see if the smell spreads to other rooms then ill have a go at making my own carbon filter. Doesn't seem to be too difficult and for 4 plants should do the trick with a bit of activated carbon and a 4" can.

Buds are starting on the filling out stage now so hopefully next few set of pictures will have some nice buds :)

thanks for the reply

Few more pics! now on to week 6 of flowering. Some orange hairs appearing on the indicas so hoping they will start to fill out soon, do they usually fill out quite quickly?

Thanks!

The plants have different flowering times, between 45 and 55 and 55-60 so they should all be ready around the same time. Im wondering when will the buds start to fill out and become much more dense?

thanks and peace

Just one question, even though they have been flowering 4 weeks now they still dont release that much smell unless they've been in a closed room for a few hours. If you touch the buds with your fingers they smell incredibly fruity and potent. As you can see from a couple of the photos they are also quite frosty already.

All im wondering is, is it normal and will it take a bit longer before they start really smelling up the house? or should they be fairly stinky already?

Thanks.

Don't touch the buds with your fingers!!!! can break off trich
I use to do it all the time it's a no no

Hey all, over the last couple of weeks i've noticed the Moby dick (sativa) getting yellow spots over the leaves. It's not too bad at the moment but seems to be getting worse. Is this a magnesium defficiency? and if so do i simply correct this by giving more of the Canna Terra Flor nutrients?

It dosent seem to be effecting the rest of the plants, and they have been receiving the same amount of solution however they are also smaller.

I can will upload some photos shortly.

Thanks!

I have been using a fairly diluted mixture too seeing as in the past they were not able to handle a full dose. Only been giving them about 3-4ml of nutrients per 2L of water

Dots? Could be calcium brother!!
Ensure your PH is stable!!
Most deficiency's are from lockouts from either PH or from having too much of another nutrient in the medium.

I dont have a very accurate PH meter, but since seed I have been using UK tapwater. It seems to have been ok so far with little problems, and on the meter i have it reads at around 7 but again i dont know how accurate this is.

I guess its possible that it could be the PH, but why is it only starting to effect the plant now? Only thing i can think of is that i increased the amount of water im feeding my plants since they started filling out, and maybe like this it just made it harder to handle the high PH?

I've only been using 2 sets of nutrients on this plant, Canna Terra Vega and Flor during the vegitating and flowering period.

Here are a few photos.

So my landlord is coming round to show possible future tenants around... Should I say the tent is a dark room or something for photography? :P

Any ideas?

Also anybody get a look at the last pictures? i'm hoping its not going to effect my plant too much! :S

Lookin' good! I think your babies look pretty damn healthy, but I'm no expert. Considering I killed 75% of my seedlings from nutrient overdose, I'd say you're doing pretty good for your first time. When I put my HPS in my room, my temp went from 70F to 95F in like 15 minutes. I had to buy a portable A/C unit.. Keep it up!

Oh, and I told people my room was sound studio, but it's made of wood and after the exhaust goes in, there's no denying it.. I just sealed off my bedroom with a curtain and that way the maintenance men have no reason to pull it back and go into my bedroom. At least I hope not. Knock on wood... Maybe if you take the exhaust out for a bit you could tell her you do stop-motion animations in there?

Thanks for the reply, i'm leaving the water out at least 24hrs now to let the chlorine evaporate to see if that makes any difference to the ph.

Cant wait to harvest these..! The california hash plant should be ready by mid next week i think, even though it didnt grow too well its quite cristally and at least it will give me something to smoke before i harvest the other 3 :)

As for my landlord I dont even think ill be in the house at the time, so best I can do is lock the door, put a padlock on the tent and hope he forgot the his room key!

the Blue Widow and the Sweed deep grapefruit should hopefully be ready to harvest in a couple of weeks, and the moby dick i'd give maybe 3 more weeks but of course all depends on trich development. I was kinda silly and went and booked myself a trip to Amsterdam for a few days in the week the Moby Dick (sativa) will supposidly be ready for harvest but hopefully ill be able to harvest before my trip and have some dry bud do smoke when i get back :)

Ill post some new pics soon, really starting to fill out now.

Few more pics, took the california hash plant out, going to chop that up tonight and hang the buds that is has up to dry, at least will have a smoke before I harvest my next plants. The trichomes appear a bit clear and it could maybe have gone one for a few more days, but since it was a dodgy plant from the start just decided would be better than spending rediculous amounts of money to smoke in the UK.

If going by the guide for flowering time for the seeds, the Blue widow and the Sweet deep grapefruit supposidly have about a week or so left, they are now in week 7 of flower. The moby dick (one in the left corner) still has 2-3 weeks left. But as i said before will will all depend on plant development.

Took a couple of photos of the plant trichomes through a microscope, not sure how clear it is on the photo, but the trichomes are still pretty see through.

Moby dick

Peace! ;)

P.S. The idea of calling the grow tent a dark room for photography worked like a charm with my landlord! just left my SLR with its 300mm lens lying on the table to add to the illusion! :)

Thanks! I wonder how much the moby dick will fatten out considering it still has 2-3 weeks left.

I chopped down the California hash plant, only retrieved maybe half an ounce of smokable bud which was right at the top, but i think we're going to use the rest for hashs not all bad. Managed to fill a ceral box with frost trimmings and fluffy buds.

Thanks for following! will make sure to post more pics soon :)

Now into week 8 of flower. Buds are still developing and filling out, the blue widow seems to still have quite alot of white hairs on top and the trichomes are still quite clear. Similar story with the Sweet deep grapefruit, got alot more orange hairs but still clear trichomes, the weight of the buds is making the plant very top heavy and sweys much more than it used to but shouldnt be a problem.

The moby dick still has a couple of weeks left at least so im still expecting it to fill out considerably, but the leave are turning a nice shade.

Im aiming to cut them as the trichomes are are the verge of going amber. Any ideas how much longer i may be waiting from the pics? all opinions welcome!

Blue widow:

Sweet deep grapefruit:

Thanks! :)

followed your link from your signature after seeing ou post in my journal about how you have both a blue widow and SDG about ready for harvest.
plants look amazing and i can't wait until mine have fruit development like yours, they should start looking frosty over the next 3 weeks so i'm looking forward to that.

Subbed to see your harvest!
