What i got is a pretty ghetto set up, by most peoples standards. i started out with one 65 w gro n sho bulb growing a couple seeds. i came across a seed i had saved from a grow last year in wich a great white got pollenated somehow and produced about 3 seeds (that i saw, and 1 was cut in half by scissors). ive also got 2 other seed verietys wich i cloned down because they got too tall. and another that is just as old as the great white

i guess this is kind of my way of inspiring the newbies. if you put a little effort in and think on your toes you can grow anywhere.

ive got 2 very old plants from my first batch of seeds they vegged for about 3 months under 1, then 2 then 3 lights and now there are 5 cfls. 4x26w "daylight,5700k" and one 18w id say 2300k.

my main advantage is my windows are right nexto the setup. i can have natural sunlight coming in strong for a few hours and indirect sunlight almost all day.

all i do to flower is move the bigger ones into a closet that ive made extra light proof every 12 hours. it kinda sucks doing it by hand but im getting quite used to it.

well i hope you guys enjoy, and i know its not profesh but it makes me happy
:bigjoint:

(i overfed the 2 bigger ones when they were very young and it stunted thier growth horribly. but i am glad i stuck with that gws because it smells craaazy.

I plan on keeping up with this and uptading so feel free to coment

I had to do the same shit bro. Hauling my ladys back and forth between closets. lol A lil advice, you should get those 4 ladys in the same pot, and give them thier own. They look ok now but soon thier roots are gonna become tangled up and they'll all fight for root space, and its gonna be a bitch transplanting if you let them get that far. Plus if the sex is unknown and 1 turns out male, its gonna be rough worming him out of there. Also, whats with the top of the tall lady hanging outside the box? Might be a bit of a problem with the top stretching out, looking for light. Other then that it looks good man. Keep us posted and I'll stay posted. lol Good luck bro!

all of the little ones are clones of some bag seed i got. not the best but they are all females so i dont hafto worry about any rouge males. and as for the great white poking out i usually bring that around my house and stick it in windows and direct sunlight now that its flowering. ive got no neighbors who can see them and my fams cool. and as far as the 4 little ones i want to wait untill they are about 8-10 inches and try and flower them all in the same pot. if it works it works.

thanks for checkin in and i will keep ya posted

Hell yeah its all about keeping it cheep for me.

Bag seed i grew was the best weed i ever smoked.

Tie those bithes up if they are trying to grow up.

Right on bro. If your planning on flowering them all in the same pot I say do it now. You flower at 8-10 inchs and you could end up with 30+inch plants! Cannabis needs at least a gallon of soil to every foot of plant give or take. Not sure how many gallons you got there but definetly not enough to wait any longer. I can almost guarantee they will be stunned unless transplanted or flowered now and even then theres no guarantees. lol But its your grow bro. I'm interested in seeing 4 fully flowered ladys in the same pot. If you can pull that off, more power to ya! Happy smokin!

tell me about it. i wish i even had a 75w hps for when the suns not blazin through my windowns. like on cloudy rainy days and shit. belive it or not that great white was grown pretty much with winter sunlight coming through windows(at a very low angle) and GE incandecant gro lite( yea 1 65 w at first). this has waaaay passed my expectations for a bedside grow, but now that spring is coming around the sun is helping me out so much more. i wanna start putting some of the clones in blue cups outside. and yes cloning is easy as hell. i used to be scared but if you got a plant you want to multiply give it a whorl.

and thanks for stopping in duuuudes

When i first started out i was using a small 2x2 with a light 2ft high. i started about 12 seeds. and i figured i would try and find the best suited ones for what i want to do.

so out of those 12 i got 2 that survived (wether they were weak to mold or i didnt like how they looked). im trying to do a little ghetto breeding as well. so luckily one of the seeds that made it was that gws im so pumped about.

as those 2 were growing up and i was expanding my wattage i decided to start another batch of seeds. again survival of the fittest/stinkyest. i ended up getting 2 pretty nice plants out of that. one we'll call A is very sativa looking and has a real exotic smell. and the other B looks more indica but it still grows tall and wide.

so both of them were getting too tall for my setup so i cloned both of them into solo party cups with drainage holes put in w. scissors. after about 3-4 weeks of rooting in the cups i transplanted into the pots you see now.

the 2 big plants have been flowering for 34 days and the 3 medium pots have been flowering for 4.

i hope that kind of gives you a pretty nice backround of how i got here. and ill try to get some crisper pics of the buds. those came out like crap

I love how you grew cheep, plus rep!! You dont have to spend a fortune to grow weed. I usualy go outdoors an mama natrue is my HID, U should try one outdoor this is the time. Its time to plant here. Direct Sunlight would be way better than cfls an window light.

I got a ghetto grow box i made from scraps at work, I kinda embarassed to talk about it
Stole most parts from work over the course of a year. the bulbs, mirror, white paint, spray bottle party cups, PC fan, power strip, Miracal grow and more. (they would have gave most of it if i asked, but i didnt want em asking questions)
Its 2x2x2 an under my TRAILOR HOUSE. hahhaha

I usualy grow for almost nothing , but I did splurge (100$) an bought some kind fem seeds this year for 1/2 this years crop. The autos are perfect for my box. But I clone my kind seeds to stay cheep. Soil is my next biggest investment 60 $. About 180$ total investment this year .

P.S.Dont worry about fluffy buds just let em flower 20% longer cause the CFL an soil tend to finish slower than say a hydro/600HID set up.

Thanks scarhole. yea i would say my soil, perlite, bone meal, rooting hormone was the biggest investment too. I messed up and got mirical grow because it was cheap.(not always good to cut corners) its way to easy to overfeed and that slow release shit has made it a problem feeding my flowering plants. and even when i go to flush at the end im gonna have those balls of plant food in there. im going to use the rest of it up soon so its the last time i get that.

well its coming out ok and its another lesson learned. i readjusted the setup today so maybe ill get the pics up today or tommorow. just took out the staggered plant stand and put in a table to get them all closer to the top lights.

i got a fat ass 65w cfl bulb. "soft" wich i kinda bugged about but its the same as warm. ive never seen a cfl so big. maybe ill get my own camera so i can put up pics but im hoping it will help out with flowering a little bit.

does anyone know if it will have a negative effect on my vegging plants. i know its extra light but is it gonna make them stretch because its redder?

No I think they will be fine. Also red spectrum helps promote thicker branching aswell so thats a plus. So hows everything else in your garden?

nothin wrong with thicker stems! everythings goin pretty well. i was hoping to transplant those clones into either bigger containers to start flowering, and putting a couple outside for the summer. and i would say that the gws has about 20 days left and im gonna cut her down. i also have 2 clones of the great white that i am going to turn into mothers. after seeing/smelling it i have to continue its legacy. i just hope its not genetically hermie.
i am also going to pick up some new potting soil and shit today so hopefully i can find some good organic stuff..keep it real

does anybody use bone meal to feed their plants?. i just got some 0-12-0 liquid bone meal, and decided to give the flowering plants a half dose. Im not very experienced with feeding. (week 5 for the big ones and maybe week 2 for the smaller ones.) and is this too close to harvest for the gws?. i was hoping to cut it down in about 3 weeks. i thought you had to stop feeding and start flushing a week before, but i could be wrong. a little help would be preciated

I have never messed with bone meal yet but at 5 weeks, i'm sure you can feed them with no problems. From what I understand, GW is great early or late harvester, so if you needed a bit more time for the flush, I'm sure you will have enough. If you think about it, your only halfway through flowering.

thanks man. i was looking at her yesterday and i saw some fat calyxes and turns out she did get knocked up. i saw one almost fully developed seed and maybe 6 more forming. Im not super upset about it. ill either plant them or just start over with new gw clippings. and ill have some new pics up soon. im fuggin slackin

So its been about a week since i got some pics up.since the last ones i have added 2 more lights (6 all together coming out to about 180 true watts) all of the clones in blue cups finally went outside today. they were getting rootbound and turning purple on all of the stems. let me know if they look 5 weeks into flowering.( the 2 big ones)

and of course today was a cloudy day. so i dont want to hear anything about there not getting enough light. i had them out to take the pics.
