26 watt cfl veg in my mother room

check it yo just have 1 26 watt cfl in my little mother room and decided to veg in there while the original mothers are flowering this plant was a clone from one of the mothers i have flowering now prolly 1 month veg under that one daylight cfl then at the end of the month it goes under a 400 w mh conversion bulb for a week or 2 than its getting flowered under the 400w hps while my new mother grows up enough to mother clones for the next grow actually i gotta go away for a week at the end of febuary so its gonna have to stay in veg til i get back so i dnt have to run my hid while im not home

noone is looking at my little plant whut up any comments or critisizam

that is more tha amazing that you got all of that with 1 26 watt cfl....that is crazy

i thought so too but other than you noone els does............ just one 26 watter i turn it every day so it gets even lightbut this should prove that you just need a lil light to keep a plant alive this light is all my mothers ever get and i never have any problems

That is very impressive. Do you think it would be bigger at this point if you'd used more light?

probably would be bigger but thats not my goal with this plant

another reason i wanna put it under a mh for a week or 2 b4 flowering it just to strengthen it up


i kinda want it to grow slow cause im gonna have to keep it in veg for a while

its got another month veg to go, im growing around my schedual and i got to go back up to philly for a week next month and feel better with just a cfl than an hid running while im out of town

they do i usually keep 2 mothers in here under thst 1 light helps keep em from getting to big and i dnt do a prepetual harvest so i only need like 2-8 cuttings every 2 months so i can deal with some slow growth

Looks good tussel. That has me rethinking the 4 bulb T5HO for mothers. I don't really care for them to grow like crazy! I'll only need like 5 clones MAX from each! Good work man!

yea man i keep 2 mothers under that one light and also keep em root bound and they grow fine and like i said b4 i only take a few clones every 2 or 3 months so slow growth is not a problem for me i like to keep a small mother its just a 2x2x3 space under my woorkbench in the garage

yeah that is nice. I got a 2' T5 4 bulb fixture. Perfect for a mother chamber of 2-4 plants vegging. 2 - 6500k and 2-3000k bulbs. It grows em nice and slow which is what I want as well. They key is keeping the light just 2" from the top and they wont stretch.
That is a nice full plant you have there. I would add a 2nd bulb though for a 2nd plant.

no need for the extra bulb up until this plant i had 2 mothers in there for a year with no problems and they produced plenty of clones for me but hey thanks for the cmpliment and hope yours are doing well, as for mine i may get another bulb in ther but thers no rush i just need enough to keep the plant alive and slowly growing

I just meant to add a 2nd bulb because if you have a 2nd plant in there that is much smaller, the larger plant will create a shadow over the 2nd plant. Also if you are keeping the bulb at the height of the taller mother, then the shorter plant will stretch to reach the light. Unless you raise the shorter plant to the same height.
I personally dont understand all the anti-CFL people. They work incredibly. Low cost, low heat, easy to position em all over the place for maximum light penetration. I got clamp lights and bulb socket splitters that I have the all over the place for my flowering chamber.

i do have a second in ther but its actually just a baby clone in a pot too big for it, but i see what your saying with mothers i usually just cut them so ther even or i will tye em sometimes

i am on the fence with cfls ive used em and still do for mothers but use the hid for flower i can see how they can be good but still am against flowering with em so im not a total anti cfl guy but i am still a little

if it works for ya go with it its one of those arguments like maricle grow if you know how to use it it works great

seems a lot of ppl dnt know how to use hid's either they figure they will just put a 1000 watts in a 3x3 room instead of useing a 400w the right way

great looking plant. i am going to try it in a 15"x17"x30"tall cab. was not sure if 1 light would be enough.

its enuff to keep it alive and slllooooooooooowwwlllllyyy growing not enuff to flower and be carefull not to streatch it too much..... ive never tried it from seed always from clone so a plant from seed might grow a little more streatchy idk i will try it from seed in march when i put this into my other room but too veg as long as you can keep it from streatching it will keep it alive or like manowar said get a socket spliter and use 2 for one plant than as it gets bigger add cfl's to the sides of the plant, cfl's veg nicely and flower nicely but you need a lot of em to flower.

i am gonna have to veg for another month i hope it doesnt grow too much i dn't wanna have to cut it but i can't flower til after i get back march 1st ao i may have too, i was gonna put it under the 400w mh for a few weeks after i harvest next week than put it back under the cfl while im away..

gonna let the tops grow up than i will tye em down again so they are all even so they all get the same amount of light

been under a 400w fer a few days now
