New LEDs

Hey guys, the agonizing wait is finally over.. The New UFO LED lights are in and I'm pretty impressed so far! We made the mistake of looking right at it when we plugged it in the first time. The bright light sent me back a few feet and the LED lights were tattooed into my cornea for a few minutes. All is well, but I won't ever make that mistake again!

On the left are 6 Grand Daddy Purples, some are bouncing back (from cloning) faster than others. On the right are 2 Hollywood Kush.

The iPod dock on the left plays Sonic Bloom plant stimulator. Gen Hydro nutes. 24 hr light. The LEDs replaced 6 "grow spectrum" compact fluorescent lights.

What UFO is it? Is that going to be bigg enough for all those plants?

Says they can replace a 400-600W set up. You can take your plants from clone/seed to bloom with the same lights. I'm using the same light in my bloom-room but two of them. They replaced a 1000W HPS (now for sale.) It has only been two days and the excitement continues.

Just an update. The LEDs are keeping right with my 8 Grand Daddies in bloom, now they are 5 full weeks along and they are getting some serious clusters of orange hairs. I'm used to them finishing in 6 1/2 weeks, we'll see if these ripen any faster. Also they have been getting more CO2 since the LEDs have been present. Before the tent had to be left unzipped with a fan in between. Now the tent is closed for the most part and I can turn on the CO2 tank. I put in a 20 gal water heater in the res which does leave condensation on the inside of the tent so I have to air it out every so often.
Also I got a look at the electric bill for the month, only $45! And that was with running the 1000 Watt for 2 weeks.
Also the LEDs have been making it much easier to Sonic Bloom (*foliar spray). Since the plants don't run the risk of burning from the light, I can turn off the fan and let them soak over night.
One thing is that its now pretty cool, maybe 10 degrees cooler or more. I wonder if that will affect their yeild at all. I try to keep the Sonic Bloom music cranked up for them to keep their metabolism going. Just some pro's and con's, but mostly pro's I must say.
