I am still around just moved to LV in Oct so been so busy. I have been luring and am about 15 days into flower w/ an AK47 grow in my cabinet.

I will post some pics just continue this thread becaue everything has pretty much started the same as the a11 grow. Now that i have time i will make regular pic updates.

First grow i gave to a friend because i didnt want to travel w/ a pound of weed across the country for my move with a cab that smells like weed.

But I have arrived here in Vegas and on 10/31 I began germinating ak47 from serious seeds.

6/6 germinated. Used Lucas formula 0-8-16 to veg and ph at 5.8.

So I vegged the two right plants under 190 Watt 8 bulb 2' T5 with the blue spectrum. The 4 left plants were under a 600W MH. Notice the siz difference. This pic was at 3 weeks.

Another pic 3 weeks in..

Not happy with the growth of the t5 I added the two smaller plants to the 31 gallon res with the other 4. It helps i have 3 extra res's so I can quickly user different lids with diff hole configs. Here are the 6 plants 3 weeks in under the 600 W MH.

3.5 weeks in

4 weeks in.. still 6 plants I have been trimming alot along the way. I probably have trimmed at least the same amount that the plants currently have.

took clones at 30 days veg...notice how i numbered them because i dont know my males yet. I took 2 clones from each plant.

1 hour old

1 days later they start to pop up...

33 days from germ i force flower w/ all 6. I see some presex but want to be sure...

40 days from germ , 7 day of flower, i identify 3 males and get rid of them. Root systems are huge but my large res helped in not having them be tangled. Unfortunaley my 3 females were my smallest. I put up a chicken wire sreen 18" and filled in allowed the 3 plants to grow into it and cut everything below the screen.

I am now at day 18 of 12/12. Cabinet handels the smell beautifully. When the door is open though the smell is getting strong.

I killed the male clones and have the 5 remaining clones vegging under the T5 in my veg chamber. Getting ready to germ som DJ Shorts blueberry soon.

I will get better pics this weeks when the HPS isnt on. Glad to be back online.

Should I be trimming some of the leaves ? What should i trim, 1/2 them? Just the large ones blocking light from buds? Do buds take in light?

From my understanding buds do NOT absorb light but the leaves surrounding the buds do.
