Hi guys I've decided to make a new thread because my new seeds just popped and my old thread got a bit to cluttered with my nonsense and failures, i was in the middle of reveging some clones and i have had quite a bad time doing so, so I've decided to take these clones and put them on the back burner and start some new seeds, i just popped DinaFems OG Kush, World Of Seeds Big Bud x Northern Lights, and i will be popping Emerald Triangles Bubba 76 soon.

Here are some pictures of the room, and i will be posting some pictures of the seedlings as soon as they break the surface of the rock wool.

Subb'd :) I wanted to mention one other thing man. Not taking a poke at ya, just everyone needs some advice from outside tha box. Patience!!!! Can't wait till u get that set-up goin again. I feel your next one will be a lot better than your first go. Your bloom room is good to go, get that veg cab working, or buy a pantry style closet thing n turn it into your veg cab. That way you can run moms n the next in line on the bottom n your new clones on the top. Soon as I get my pics from an old hard drive I will show u my 3 tier set-up. Moms on the bottom, trays for a sog in pro-mix in the middle, n clone trays on the top. I was able to fit 7 clone trays with approx 60-80 clones in each clone tray. Had a nice set-up, but the house sold n had to move :( Was running 2 600 digi's at the time and would pull about 20z per 600 :) Can't wait to c what the hempy does for me :P Anyways eno about my crap, get your shit goin bro, need to show RiU how it's done!!! Peace.

Advice from out side the box is very much appreciated as its the best kind, i know i need to learn patience i can be a bit impatient and impulsive some times but its hard to know what to do all the time or when to do it, i cant wait to see your cabinet grow man sounds awesome 20 o/z per 600 is pretty good specially with super soil, and yeah i need to get this veg cab done so my reveging clones have a place to live when i go into flowering all i need is a booster fan but home depot is so far away, i hate where i live a side from the fact that there is pretty much 0 police presence. And yeah i cant wait to see what these hempys do for my growth ether after seeing what some of the people are doing in world of hempy, I'm really looking forward to this grow and trying out these new strains they all sounded pretty awesome from what I've read about them, i hope they are all pretty short but i don't really care I've got enough room in my closet to handle some tall ones and ill probably just end up super cropping the shit out of them if they get out of control anyways.

My white russian just showed roots how long do you think i should wait to take it out of the cloner, should i wait untill it has a big root system or should i maybe wait until it grows fan leaves?

So the Big Bud x NL has broke the surface, the OG Kush is still working on it and the Bubba 76 just germinated so ill be putting it in the rock wool today.

So the Big Bud x Northern Lights and the OG Kush have both broken the surface, the Blue Cheese Reveged clone looks like its on its last leg but if you look close enough you can still see a bit of green, the White Russian reveg still seems to be doing okay, and I'm not so sure about the Bubba 76 seedling, the roots that i can see coming out of the seedling look blackish and the seed shell hasn't moved one bit, I'm not sure if it needs help or not. The BB X NL has stretched quite a bit due to the lights being so far, so i dropped a pair of the CFL's down to stop that, the stem is also a bit weak because of all stretching so i put an oscillating fan in the room blowing away from the seedlings.

I really need to figure out how I'm going to set up my circulation fan's for flowering i bought a $35 wall mounted oscillating fan off of amazon for my first run and this thing is garbage, I've only used it for 2 months and now the blade wont spin when i turn it on half the time, the cage is crap and the noise that comes threw the wall when its running is pretty loud and its a bitch to mount. I wish i could afford one of those Dyson air multipliers but I'm not spending that much on a fan just so i don't have to hear what sounds like a helicopter fly by my house every 10-15 seconds lol.

So when i got up today and checked on my seedlings i was not that surprised to see that my BBxNL seedling has fallen over, so i got some tooth picks and a twist tie and built a supporting structure for it, the OG kush hasn't grown that much vertically but is looking okay a side from a slight brownish discoloration on the tips of the starter leaves. I really should have read some more about rock wool before i started using it, it seems to me like i am having to water it at least once per day I've been searching all over the internet to find how often i should water it but i haven't been able to get a straight answer, i feel the need to put a dome over them to keep the humidity in and keep the cubes moist but at the same time i want my BBxNL to get some air flow to help strengthen its stem.

So i guess i let the BBxNL stem move around to much when i was trying to splint the stem and today when i went in to check on the plants i discovered that the stem appears to be damaged beyond repair its quite shriveled and discolored all though the leaves are still healthy looking, so anyways I've decided to start an MK Ultra to take its place, if things keep going like this I'm going to end up with an all Kush line up or no seeds at all lol... So since the bbxnl was what was stopping me from using the humidity dome I've decided to put it on to cover the Bubba 76 that is still germinating and the OG Kush seedling, i believe I've underestimated the importance of using a humidity dome with rock wool and my plants are paying the price, i also lowered my lights so i wont be making the mistake i made with the BBxNL again.

Well i have another mistake to add to the long list of mistakes Ive made during this passive hydro journey, last night i mistakenly left my humidity dome off for about 8 hours and in that time my rock wool cubes dried up and my seedlings wilted severely, i don't know how well seedlings recover from wilting but the OG Kush and the Bubba 76 look like they will be fine, I'm not so sure about the MK Ultra though since the drought hit just as it was sprouting, I'm going to leave them in a humidity dome for a few more days but once they start to recover i will plant them in some solo cup hempys and water them every day. I really hope that this wont stunt them to badly but I'm guessing a drought at such a crucial stage of life can not possibly be a good thing, I'm really quit disappointed in my self i really should have taken some time to refresh my knowledge on seed propagation specially with rock wool...

It happens man, the lesson is to learn from the mistakes so they aren't repeated. Sometimes life gets busy n we forget or get sidetracked. Peace!!

Well i decided to pull the plug on my 3 seedlings today, its been a few days since the incident and if anything they are only looking worse, i have wasted so much time getting this going that I'm about to run out of my last harvest so i don't want to spend weeks waiting for these seedlings to recover, so I've decided to get rid of them and get some new ones going the new line up is Eva Veneno, G13 labs Blueberry Gum, and TH Seeds Burmese Kush, i also decided to chuck my White Russian clone i think it has been through to much to survive it had a chance before i accidentally removed its roots, but I'm pretty sure its to late for this one. I cant believe how much i have messed up i thought i had my shit generally together lol but this is my first time trying hydro, i knew the learning curve was steep but fuck me 4 seeds dead already, my last round in soil i dropped 2 seeds into the dirt watered every 3-4 days and i was done, i just hope i can get these 3 seeds safely to veg and i am pretty sure i will be set, I've done a lot more research and I've got a plan that I'm going to stick to so I'm pretty sure I'm good, i was a bit sloppy last time.

Sorry to hear about the casualties. Let them do their thing!! I had my own accident recently. Damn dog slammed off my veg tent (playing with the cat) and knocked my clone/seedling tray off the shelf. 5 of my seedlings were lost in my oops. Note to self: Always make sure the door is completely closed >.< Did your Blue Cheese survive? Peace!!

Ahh that sucks man sorry to hear about your incident, as far as the blue cheese goes i killed it off a long time ago it never recovered from the transplant into the rock wool.

Hope this round goes alot better for you man . I just recently made the mistake of flooding my plants . Everytime i go to water my plants I make a huge mess . I dont know what it is , but I just cant seem to get all the water in the pot . Think rimming the pot with soil is prob to blame ,but I decided to get creative , and I set up a pump , and tubing to do my watering for me , all I had to do was go in turn the pump on , and about 15 mins , shut it off . This worked perfect for a week or so till i forgot to shut the pump off until four hours later . Set me back a little bit as the plants recovered , but now know not to do it again ... Best way to learn is the hard way

Yeah i really hope that these do alright, cause they are the last of the freebies i got from attitude, and they are always out of stock on what i want...

Sucks about your plants man but at least they were able to bounce back from it, im pretty sure my seedlings were dead i couldnt believe how fast the rock wool dried out, you should really get a timer so you can make sure you avoid flooding your plants, hydro farm sells a pretty good one for about $20.

So i woke up today and checked my seeds and found that my Burmese Kush and Veneno have popped so I'm just waiting on Blueberry Gum to finish germinating, as soon as they break threw the rock wool I'm going to put them in solo cup hempys and water them every day, hopefully i can avoid any more mishaps because these are my last viable seeds.

So i can tell by looking at my germinating blueberry gum that its about to pop out of its shell a few more hours and it will probably be ready to go into the rock wool, i watched a video recently that said that for every 1 inch closer you can get your light you will get an extra 1 inch in diameter on your buds i don't know if its true, but i really wish i had heard that when i was on my first grow because i kept my light at about 12-13 inch's for pretty much the whole grow, and i hadn't really thought about what i could have been losing from it.
