Ello RIU,

Before I start this journal, I just want to say thanks to the folks who have allready helped me. I am quickly finding myself obsessed with growing now and as some other have said I now agree with. Smoking MJ is not addictive, growing is. Anyways, a bit of background of the grow before I show some pics. I am currently growing 3 Fire OG's under 6 Aquarium T5's set up in a PAR/PUR spectrum set.

Bulbs are:
1 Fiji Purples
2 Chrome Middays
1 420nm
1 Coral Wave
1 Flora-Sun

When I got my Fiji's for some reason a coal wave was in the sleave not a purple, so am waiting on the replacement that the shop I buy from said they will give me for free when their bulb order gets in.

I am using Earth Juice SeaBlast Transition for nutes, in their constant feeding program and flushing with water every 3 feedings.

I have been dealing with a spider mite issue, after I hit them with might wash they seem to have all died on the leaves but now I am seeing them in the soil so have been treating that since last night. Hoping that I will keep that under control. I am using VermiSoil from Vermi-Organics as my medium, and the girls are in 1.5 Gallon AirPots.

I am planing on taking new pics every day so I can make a time lapse of the first pic of the girls, only because I thought it would be fun for me personaly to see them grow before my eyes. Any advice or imput will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Just one more quick thing, went ahead and started germiin some Pineapple Punch seeds for the next crop. I am hoping for 2 females and 1 male from it, but if they end up all being male when I get to em, will go ahead and flower em out and get some pollen to save for next time. if i get what i am hoping for going to flower em with the male staying and get myself some more seeds for future projects I have planed.

Cheers

Looks good man, I'll be following along.

My advice for the mites: don't let up. You just started flowering, I'd recommend using neem oil with azamax and a pyrtethrin spray up to 2 weeks in, then just the aza/pyrethrin sprays. Never used mighty wash, I'm sure you could replace any of the 3 products I mentioned with it. Point is, alternate one treatment every 3-4 days for a few weeks(4-5) to get all the linger-ers. You don't want them coming back at week 8 when you really don't wanna be spraying your buds if you don't have to.

Yeah no doubt on that about the mites. I am almost too anal about it. now that I know i have mites i seem to go in the damed room every hour or so with my microscope looking for em. Just cant get em off my mind. As for the lights, I stumbled on the LED without LED's thread when I was figuring out what lights I wanted to buy and man am I glad I did. I just hope the flowering goes as I am hoping for and then I have my light spectrums right. Thanks for subing, and I do appreciate the comments and the help.

Cheers

So I have been doing a bit more research and I am starting to wonder if the mites in the soil that I thought were spider mites might infact be soil mites. I am not seeing any damage from spider mites or and damage as if it was root aphids, and they are slightly larger then the spider mites that I did have on the leaves prior were. they also dont seem to be trying to go up into the stem, just wandering around in the soil. I know if they are soil mites it is a good thing since they are benifitial, but I am not sure how to tell if that is what they are for sure. Anyone have some advice. I would take a pic, but i cant figure out how to make my camera work with my magnifier.

Thanks Brother. Love how you allways give good advice. 40 mins till my lights go on and i cant wait to go in there lol
I do the best I can... limited experience. I still feel like a total newb! Been growing for a solid 9 months now, and have learned SOOOO much just reading endlessly on this board. Lucky I have a situation that lets me spend a lot of time researching. :)

Just a quick update since it is only Day 2 of flowering. Wanted a bit more training to my girls, but i didnt want to risk hurting them by weaving the branches so I did a bit of LST with some pipe cleaners attached to the scrog. I think she is looking pretty decent, but only my second grow so any expert opinion out there?

Decided to head in and get my pics for today before the lights went on. Wanted to see how well the pics were with my SLR without the T5's on.

For the folks that are subbed and anyone else, would love some feedback from the pics. My first grow went horrible due to lighting and noob error, so this is the first time I have had plants that I think are looking good. But most of you out there have a much better eye for this then I do. would love to know what you think and any advice you have.

Also had started 3 Pineapple Punch XXX Og seeds a few days ago. 2 of them poped tap roots and hit the seedling box with the watermelon and tomatoes late late last night. Still waiting on the 3rd seed to pop. looks like it is about to.

Cheers
