Disaster struck my last grow *it was going so wellbadday.gif
So now I begin anew and like the Phoenix, rise from the ashes of my own demise.

Fortunately I had a few clones of the plants I lost, but I didn't think I would need to use them for my main grow. I'm gonna LST and top the hell out of them then ScroG them. Originally my plan was to learn how to clone then give them away. I should have given them a little more TLC. I was gonna throw them out or give them away and start my new Herijuana grow but I'm gonna finish what I started. Here's the pictures of my main current indoor grow. The strains are Sugar Black Rose, Northern Light Blue and White Widow x Big Bud. They're mixed. They took so well to being topped that I topped their asses again today!
You can see all the tops I pinched off. I guess multiply that by 2 right? lol I hope.
groupshot.jpgsmallproblems.jpg100_3142.jpgsittinsideways.jpg100_3140.jpg100_3138.jpgtopped.jpgteamnutes.jpg

These next pictures are part of my grow but more of a side project ATM. I ordered Herijuana IBL from Sannie's Seeds and asked for the Lady Cane x Blueberry freebees. I got 12 Heri's and 5 LCxBB (regular seeds) for $56 shipped. They arrived in a padded envelope via snail mail. The way they stealth shipped made me lol. Pretty damn crafty.
My idea with these seeds is to grow them all about 2ft tall in soil and keep the best ones as mothers and fathers. I plan to use the pollen for some amateur breeding, but that's later. Eventually after I pick the best female in the group from both plants, I wanna go completely hydroponic. Totally chemical. You just can't deny the speed and extra yield you get from hydroponics. I love soil, but hydro is the way to go if you wanna make as much money as possible. Of course that's not my main goal, but it's a great perk. Why fuck it up? I'll use the female to make clones obviously and plant the rest outside to finish.
Here's what up so far;
Look how tiny these seeds are!
tiny.jpg
100_3108.jpg
Unfortunately I fell asleep before I planted the seeds yesterday so some germinated in the water. They were in there for about 12 hours.
germed.jpg100_3119.jpg
Here they will sit, in the dark, on a heat mat set to med., each one being pulled out as soon as it pops. I soaked the seeds for a few hours then planted in soil before they germinated (most of them).
hotbox.jpg

This is my breeding side project.
I smoke some really decent kush a few months ago. What I like about it was how good it smelled, the trichs and it had good bag appeal. The only thing it seems to be missing is serious potency. It was good, don't get me wrong, but it's not the dank by far. I hope it's a Sativa too cause I'd really like to start with that.
I'm hoping that with all the good genetics I get a good cross out of them. I mean you got Super Silver Haze and G13 in the Lady Cane. The Blueberry was a mixed pollenation of DJ Short's Blueberry circa '96, and his later True Blueberry. Herijuana is a Humboldt strain called Petrolia Headstash combined with "the best Kentucky outdoor." So well see.
Here they are;
100_3150.jpg100_3147.jpg100_3145.jpg

There will be lots of updates and pictures, no matter what happens, good or bad. I know what I need to know to grow some good ass weed but I'm still a noob in a lot of ways. Stick around. It'll be interesting.

Looking good. Good harma to ya grow....
Thanks for the good vibes oldreefer. There are a surprising amount of people on here who would wish nothing but the worst for your grow. I always thought that it was us against the establishment but more and more people area t each others throats. So I appreciate it.

Not a lot to update today so far. The plants took s so well to being LST'd and topped that I LST'd and topped the plants again!
I topped some of the branches I missed yesterday & I finished LTSing the plants down as far as I could getting them as close to 90 degrees or horizontal as I could.
They're all doing as well as they did last time. It definitely helps when you've grown the plant you got at least once before. I don't feel as clueless now as I was the first cycle. I don't have them labeled but I can tell which is which now by the way they smell. i wanted to start flowering as soon as possible but I have to say, I'm enjoying these strains so far. They're easy to grow, easy to clone, mite and mold resistant, they respond well to topping and LST, the yeild is good and potency is dank worthy. I'm gonna clone them again and run them outside this summer along with the bagseeds & Herijuana/Lady Cane x Blueberry mothers.
Here's a few pics from this morning's LSTing;

Just for the hell of it here's my little DIY projects. First my DIY bubble cloner.
100_3174.jpg100_3176.jpg
I took these in early flower so they're taking a long time to re-veg then grow roots. They been in there for almost two weeks, but I've only lost one to soggy stem. The thing I think is weird is the one cutting that grew roots and WHERE they grew from. I was too lazy to go to the hydrostore and buy neoprene inserts so I just drilled holes in the lid of a 5 gallon bucket. Needless to say not all the stems were the same size and some of them got scraped a little on the way in. I think this inadvertently exposed the phloem giving me roots in that area. I used to say scraping the stem didn't work but those roots have been there for almost a week. I barely saw primordial bumps on the stems today. Idk, I might have to look into it again.

Here is a light I made from two 68 watt cfl's, some kind of crate from behind a grocery store, foil and a few light socket components. Total was about $40.
100_3186.jpg100_3185.jpg

And this is my cloning propagator. Two dollar store rubbermaids, weather stripping (to make it air tight, but you could use tape if you take it off and put it on everytime) and four holes drilled in the top. With Rapid Rooters his thing gives me 80-90% success.

'preciate that. But I do wish I had the money you have to spend.:bigjoint:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So yesterday after soaking the seeds for 6-12 hours and planting directly in soil the strongest seeds sprouted. I took pictures the morning they did and throughout the day when two more sprouted and this morning when one more did. That gives me 6/12 strong Herijuana's start with and 3/5 strong Lady Cane x Blueberry's. The rest of them have germinate and are in the process of sprouting, but after examining my last grow I realized I should have chosen one plant one worked with those genetics to grow the best plant possible.
So this time I'm pheno hunting for the right plant that exhibits all the qualities I need in a strain. For the Heri I obviously want the strongest one, but will trade some potency for flavor because I've heard that Herijuana is not the tastiest strain but it does have potency to spare. I want a producer because Heri isn't supposed to be a huge yielder either. And I'd like the 7 week pheno but I'll take the 9 week if it's closer to what I want. Anything over 9 weeks will be culled.
As for Lady Cane x Blueberry, the breed says the short pheno is the best one but there's not a lot of info on this strain out there. It's a Super Silver Haze hybrid so there could be a 12 week pheno in there. I honestly want the more sativa pheno but considering I only have 4 to choose from(one other one hasn't popped but it's has a strong looking taproot) I'd be happy if I got a female period.
I culled Heri 3 and Heri 10 today. They ha stopped growing and after searching the soil I found the taproot had stopped growing too. Judging by what I saw, two more seed probably wont be any good either. They germinated but lost energy after the shell split. I fed the sprouts the first time yesterday. Basically it was a 1/64th strength or less fert solution with roots excellurator and some b-1. I believe that once they sprout, you can give them nutrients if your not retarded about it. These are the pictures of each plant from yesterday morning to this morning.

Looking good so far. I dig your cloning setup! Cheap and efficient. Good luck on the grow! bongsmilie
Thanks man, I got the general idea from subcool -----------> https://www.rollitup.org/subcools-old-school-organics/50073-cloning-subcool-redundant-explanation-pictures.html
That thing and heat mat has been an answer to my prayers. I failed 4 different times before I made that, and of course it was the time that worked. Generally I get roots in 10 days. Thanks for stopping by.

In a rush today so unfortunately I cant organize these...so heres what going on.
In some pictures that look like theres nothing I took them to show the double topping like the one with 6 spout. And one of the girls sprouted three branches when it was topped so I thought that was cool. The shininess on the leaves is from my home-made bug spray.
Basically herb and spice infused oil with a few drops of dish soap and rubbing alcohol, diluted with water. I added a few drops of fertilizer and some House and Garden Magic Green which is what gives them that vibrant shiny deep green color. Awesome product.
Bug are gone from sight but I'll be applying it over the next week to make sure I get the eggs and everything. I had an issue with white flies, aphids, gnats, houseflies and spider mites and it works for all.
Sprouts are at day...6 that's right, and I'm still giving them a weak fertilizer solution except that today I just gave them plain water. They are under two 2ft t12 fluoros with "plant spectrum" whatever that means to them, but it's a good light for sprouts. I've used it enough times to say so comfortably. The clones are growing vigorously. They're being fed at around 900 ppm. They take really good to topping which was why I topped them again, and besides, I'd never topped a plant more than once so I wanted to see what a multi-topped plant could look like. All the double tops have grown new shoot and are now growing well. I'm gonna transplant them in the nex few days and them take some clones a few days after that. I think since the room is so small and I have too many plants that I'll finish them in only 2 gallon pots or like 2.5. Outdoor bagseed looking ok too. Enough talk here's the pics.

100_3356.jpg100_3361.jpg100_3312.jpg100_3385.jpg100_3347.jpg100_3330.jpg100_3337.jpg100_3377.jpg100_3321.jpg100_3338.jpg100_3350.jpg100_3313.jpg100_3329.jpg100_3360.jpg100_3378.jpg100_3324.jpg100_3314.jpg100_3379.jpg100_3384.jpg100_3320.jpg100_3335.jpg100_3359.jpg100_3386.jpg100_3315.jpg100_3368.jpg100_3306.jpg100_3340.jpg100_3354.jpg100_3333.jpg100_3371.jpg100_3382.jpg100_3318.jpg100_3332.jpg100_3366.jpg100_3375.jpg100_3310.jpg100_3376.jpg100_3343.jpg

If I don't find a good pheno out of the seeds I got, I'm gonna mate the best ones and dig through the progeny. My plan is to grow 40-45 plants from seed under my 400 to see as many phenos as possible so try and stick around for the long haul.. It's gonna bee a good show.

Everything is moving real smooth. Kind of boring for the most part but I'm ok with that. I don't need bugs or def's or pH bringing excitement to my grow life. The seedlings are doing good too.
Out of 17 seeds, all of them germinated. Out of those 14 sprouted. Of those, 3 were culled and one that sprouted no taproot, grew for a bit then lost vigor so I culled it too. Now I'm left with 9 strong contenders (one isn't dead but it's not a contender for mother/father plant). 3 Lady Cane X Blueberry's and 6 Herijuana's. Sound like a bad start but I only need one strong female from each strain. And a strong male each wouldn't hurt either.
45deggroup.jpggroupshot.jpg

Yesterday I LST'd the main group again and foliar fed them some veg nutes, b-1 and cal/mag, mainly to wash off the heavy oil based bag spray residue. Idk, they seem to have liked it. they're not showing any signs of stress, but they didn't grow as much over-night as they did two nights ago. But then again I did feed them that night...
I gotta say, I'm really happy the way the lst'ing and topping is turning out. The plants all have about 12-18 tops and the ones that were topped twice are growing branches on their branches making them perfect for being LST'd again! There are a few branches growing 3-4 tops off them and they're only a few inches long. One I noticed, is growing little pre-flower calyxes all over the stem just shouting "FLOWER ME! FLOWER ME!" There are some with little pistils already trying to shoot out. These are gonna shoot off like a rocket once they go into 12/12 I bet. I just have to transplant into a bit bigger pots and take some clones and they'll be ready to go. Here are the ladies. Numbered for separation of different plants;

Just realized that my Herijuana and Lady Cane sprouts are growing in seedling starter soil, which isn't soil, it's peat based. It's actually soil-less.
So I pH test the medium and sure enough run-off was coming out at 4.5 pH (1500 ppm, whats that about?). So when I watered today I pH'd the water to 7.0, a little high
for now to raise the pH of the medium a little, and they're already growing a little faster. I know it's like "duh" but I didn't think about it till today.
I put them in a propagator too because the humidity is so low here and they like it a little high. Well goodnight.

What up no one! lol
Yeah I realize there not a lot of action going on, but it's ok.... I wanted this more as a journal anyways... (0_0,) lol It's cool I know veg state is prett boring and so are low scale grows. But still, I got plans for this growing thing.

:leaf::leaf::leaf:

The seedlings are growing well and at about normal speed. It looks like the Lady Cane x Blueberry's are growing faster, but they're two different strains and one is almost pure indica and the other is mostly sativa so it could just be the sativa plants are gonna be taller. Either way, none of them look bad. The Heri's look fine, just not as big. I grew both them both the same exact way and gave them all the same water so I don't think it's my methods. Idk, I'm not worried yet. Here they are day 10. The three bigger ones are the Lady Cane x BB. The little one is is Thomas because it's "the little plant that could."
mysanniesgroup.jpg

:leaf::leaf::leaf:

The clones are looking really good. I'm glad that things have come so easy so far. I think that barring another catastrophe (that was out of my hands btw) there's no reason these plants wont finish. I don't wanna toot my own horn, but I've been looking into growing for about 10 years since 2001 before I started growing seriously indoors.
By "looking into growing" I mean scouring the internet, reading almost every growing book written, I was a member of overgrow and I practiced growing outdoors for 5-6 cycles over the last 10 years and had two little harvests and 3-4 medium/good harvests. I was an apprentice/helper for hydroshop owner here in town for two of his big indoor cycles where I learned almost everything I know.
I've been feeding the plants at full strength around 1000 ppm and foliar feeding them extra Mg, Cal, N and H&G Magic Green leaf strengthener. I'm really starting to fall in love with the House and Garden nutrient line. Drip clean is a God send for soil but especially for drip systems where salt build-up is an issue. And Roots Excellurator? Forget about it.
The plants are really healthy and green besides a few funky leaves. I've been giving them extra nitrogen for lots of leafy, branchy, vegetative growth and frankly, I think they're loving it. No toxicities. Not excessively green. Looking good. The day I transplant them I'm gonna stick a screen over them and begin the scrogging. It shouldn't be a long scrog sice I have to many plants. I might even start flowering as soon as I put the screen over them. They already fill the closet up 70% of the way.
Here they are in they boring vegetative state. I counted the potential tops on each plant to make it interesting.

In total that's 105 possible kholasbongsmilie. Maybe wishful thinking, maybe not. Your gonna have to stick around and find out... pop2.gif

I took some cuttings of these plants three days ago. With my simple propagator and a heat mat I get awesome results. I kept them heavily misted and in the propogator for the first few hours of the first day. Later I took the dome off and misted them occasionally whenever I felt like it. No set schedule. I keep the fluorescents like 5 inches above them. They don't like intense light or too much heat. If they start to wilt, I mist them, stick the dome back on and cover it with a towel. Here they are still healthy. I think they'll all root in about 10 days. If it takes longer I'm gonna look into some new cloning gel/liquid. I always use a heat mat set to low.
clone01.jpgclone02.jpg

:leaf::leaf::leaf:

Finally my outdoor project. Admittedly moving slow, but healthy. They didn't respond well to topping at all. It's been over a week maybe two and they're barely starting to grow at normal speed again. They need to be transplanted. In fact, all my plants need to be transplanted. But at least they're healthy. As soon as I transplant them, they're gonna take off watch.

Man, for real b...................................
someone broke into my house and stole them, for real. Your the only person I've told (online). I didn't say anything when it happened because I was fighting with a certain RIU member who thinks he knows it all and I knew he would be happy about it and try and rub it in my face. I was so pissed I wouldn't be able to be cool about that so I just didn't say anything. It's been about two weeks I think. I was heartbroken when I walki ed in and saw my closet empty. Fucking crushed.
The real fucked up part is I know it was one of my "friends" because first, they went straight to my room to the closet where they were, second they didn't steal from any other room and third, they left my PS3 and my laptop that were in the same exact room. They robbed my house the way a friend would...I swear to God on my grandmothers ashes, that if I would've found him in the house, I couldn't be responsible for what I would have done him. But hey, you live, you learn, you light someones car on fire, and then you move on.

Thanks for sticking around. I 'preciate it. Yeah House and Garden man, wow, I'm really liking these nutes a lot. Roots Excellurator, Drip Clean, Shooting Powder and Magic Green are four products I'll never grow without from now on. The other products I'm REALLY happy with too mainly because my plants are always tasty. Even when I took a sample bud off a plant that had no flushing and was being heavily fertilized, because of their Drip Clean and I'm guessing their product quality but I can't be sure about that part.
Magic Green make my plants look so damn healthy I can't believe it. The day after I use it my plants are vibrant green and healthy vigorous, it's awesome. Roots Excellurator is has been getting a lot of buzz lately because people are starting to realize what a superior product it is. Freakin' roots like crazy, on my seedlings, clones and my other plants. Shooting Power....dude, you'd have to try it yourself to believe the insane weight that shit puts on your plants. RI.DIC.U.LOUS.
Everything else like Top Booster, Bud XL and Multi Enzyme, I'm not too sure about but not because I can't see what they're doing instantly like I can with the other ones I mentioned. I've been using Advanced Nutrients connoisseur for flowering stage but since I wanna see the full potential of the nute line I'm gonna finish with H&G. I like that they don't have another "bloom" nutes line, they just have the additives you put with the base nutes. I just bought their newest product Algen Extract. Here's the info on it.
Algen Extract

Home \ Stimulators \ Algen Extract

Product Tip

House & Garden Algen Extract may also be used as a leaf wash in case of chemical pest control and dusting.
Sizes Available

250ml, 1 Litre, 5 Litres & 20 Litres
Sounds like good shit. I'm gonna take some before and after pictures and see if anyone can tell the difference between them. I've only used H&G on two other grows. One I didn't finish and one was outdoor. Both were really easy grow. I know I've done my due homework but I'm not this good. These nutes give me no pH swings and no deficiencies so idk, I think these nutes might be the bomb....lol.

Btw
If you e-mail H&G with the address of the hydroshop nearest you (that carries H&G) and ask them for some samples, they might send you the whole line for free with the hydroshop's next order. That's how I got mine. They sent me full size bottles of the whole line.
Just send them the address of the hydrostore and the medium you grow in, hydro, coco or soil. If you tell them you've been using AN or Canna really bothers them for some reason. Good luck with that.

Thanks for the ups man. I'm better now that I'm a little further along with the other ones. If I hard to start from scratch it would have been even worse. I had clones of everything so all he stole was time. I'm not excusing him but it is what it is.
I was afraid to foliar feed too man so I know how you feel. I just started foliar feeding this cycle myself. I don't see any visible result when I fol. feed them Fox Farm Grow Big, but there is an almost immediately noticeable difference when you use the Magic Green. I'm telling you! It stinks a little so it's kind of intimidating but the plants fucking love it man. If your still nervous, pick one plant or one leaf on a plant and spray it spray it with Mag. Green and water. 10mL per liter if I remember right. Don't be afraid to give them full strength, plants can't seem to get enough (but still don't be crazy about it; 10mL per liter is cool).
I promise that you wont be sorry.
