Flowering Querkle and more to come!

I would have started this journal much sooner, but I haven't had much time lately. I started the querkle (the one flowering) on July 18th, in a mixture of 1 part perlite, 1 part peat moss, and 2 parts miracle grow organic in 20 o.z. cups. The results were horrible. All of the plants started to yellow at the end of the first week. I don't have pictures (regretfully), but they looked bad.

I transplanted them into 5 gal. buckets filled with fox farm ocean forest, and put them under my econogro 600 hps, and that is were they have been ever sense. I vegged them (18hrs) for 39 days total, however the first 2 weeks showed little growth. I started flowering on the 25th of August, and I thought they were doing extremely well.
Yesterday I was examining them closely, and found what appeared to be a seed. I started to find lots of these. After looking at all the plants very closely, I Found No Pollen Sacks. What the Fuck.

I did eliminate the two plants that had the most seeds. It looked like this was where the pollen was coming from, however I can't be too sure. Hopefully the plants that are left won't show hermaphroditic tendencies also. It is a huge bummer but I'll get over it. The ones that are left have tons of resin on them for 27 day of flowering. I'm going to try to get a better camera soon, so I can take some good pictures. The ones that are shown were taken on a Iphone.

As for the rest of the group, I've got ten Clones of an awesome local K2 strain, and the rest are seedlings. 10 Agent Orange from TGA(hope they don't go hermie too), 5 Ak-48s Nirvana, 3 random Indo Nirvana, and 1 NYPD's Nirvana(NY very weak 1/5 germinated successfully). 8 of the K2's are growing well under a 300w L.E.D. in 2 gal pots(fox farm OF). I've got two of the K2's under T8 florecents for sort of a reference for growth, however I just moved them there about a week ago. The seedlings are in 20 o.z. cups under T8's and are doing well.

This is my first Journal, and I'm also relatively new to growing so feel free to comment or give suggestions.

The pics of the flowering querkle is at Day 33. I've been noticing a little burning spots on the lower fan leaves, and want to try to prevent any problems that could become bigger with time. I've been feeding them at about half strength tiger bloom every third watering. I don't know it this is a deficiency or nute burn. I'm leaning towards some sort of deficiency, but i don't really know. Please help.

The vegging girls are looking really great, growing with speed. Just changed the timer to 18/6 instead of 20/4. I also topped all the seedlings but the one NYCD, because its about a week behind(planted late).

Anyways enjoy, I bought a new camera so the picture quality is 100% better. Also, someone please help me out with the leaf problem.

The flowering querkle at day 40. The biggest one of the 5 is probably gonna give a big yield. The one thats more resinous smells like a new flavor of skittles, lemony diesel. Let me know what you think.:leaf:

Sweet, I was thinking about letting these go for 60-70 days. I always get anxious to cut them though waiting that long. Awe Patients. Any advice on the leaf deficiency, I've dosed them with cal-mag plus and fox farm big bloom, and they seem to be doing better. The brown spots on the leaves are still showing up though.
Thanks for the input, I was beginning to think no one was going to reply.

i had the same leaf problems while using fox farm brand products. your plants look great imho. the "hairs" arent burnt, that i can tell. so your not burning them. have you flushed anwhere along your grow so far? maybe a flush between feedings will help, ive heard theories of fox farm products calcifying .. patients is a virtue my friend. the outcome of the final product will leave you not only happy, but the "RETARD", ear to ear smile along with it.

happy growing.

Yea I feed, flush, flush, and then feed again. I think they were actually not getting enough nutes at first though, and last week i did feed, feed, flush. I think I'll do that for another week and then plain water until they ripen up. I think its going to be a nice harvest.

yea, i would feed, feed, flush... and give that a whirl. if things persist, have you taken the run off PH? with soil, sometimes you have to fluctuate the water PH to get a good soil PH.. so if your water is 6.5 and your run off is 5.8 you would have to adjust your water PH to compensate... i hope this helps.

Today was day 48 of flowering for the Querkle. Day 20 of flowering for the 2 K2's. Day 2 flowering for the other 8 K2s. Day 27 for the seedlings, 10 Agent Orange, 1 NYCPD, 5 Ak48, and 3 Nirvana Indoor random'. I took cuttings of the seedlings 6-7 days ago from the ones that were mature enough. Then again from the rest on sunday. I gave my last nutrients to the querkle's 2 days ago, and so far only the biggest on is turning purple. They are all doing well.

Saturday night was spent making the flowering room about 4' longer. Now its 5'x14. Whenever i started growing, I was going to do 2 grows using two 600hps, and some florecent's for vegging. I'm only going to flower the rest of these plants, because I am about to graduate college, and move. Now I have 3 600 watters, 1 300 watt LED from HTG supply, and 5 T8 shop lights. Growing is an addiction!

Saturday was also spent installing a 8'' carbon filter/fan set up. The grow spaces are in the shed in the back yard, and whenever you went in the back you could smell Dank every now and then. The other day I had a barbeque at my house, and one of my friends said it smelled like weed. I played it off but figured it was a matter of time before people found out. After installing the carbon filter there is no smell outside, no smell in the veg. room, and very little smell in the flowering room. This carbon filter is bad ass.

Any questions are welcome. Cheers:weed:

what's the height on them before switched to flower? and the height now..

The querks were about 2' tall and very branchy. Now they are about 3-3.5' tall and about 2.5' wide. The one that smells like lemon diesel skittles is sprawling and would fall over if it wasn't tied up. I have bamboo staked them all because they are getting too heavy to hold their own.:-P:leaf:

Good to have you along man.
Put the 3 Nirvana Indoor variety's into the flowering room today. They are way ahead of the others planted at the same time. Hopefully they will be female, they look kinda stretchy and male though. We'll see what happens. I'll post some picks in a couple days.

I figured I would show a little more of my setup. The shed is divided in to three sections. The walk in section is where I keep my ballast's, tools, drying rack and such. The vegg section is about 15'x7', but there is a lot of space taken up by my washer and dryer, and my equipment. Last but not least, the flowering room is 14'x5'. I just recently got the carbon filter, its sucking from the top corner of the flowering room. I have a passive intake on the other side of the vegg room, with plastic blocking the light from the vegg lights. There are no light leaks. For my clones, I've got humidity domes inside of clear sterilite containers. Before I tried to just use the humidity domes by themselves, but they didn't fit together well. The first clones I took of the querkles all dried up and died due to low humidity. Thats why I don't have anymore new querks going into the flowering room. Bummer, but I think I'm good on plants right now anyway, haha. Again if anyone has questions, shoot!:leaf:

Tomorrow is going to be day 56, and I think I may harvest. Any suggestions? I think their ready, and I've got more plants in the veg room ready to go. Running out of space. The hairs are receding, and some trichs turning amber.:leaf:
