First Grow - 2,000 Watt - 30 Plants - Hydro (Help Me Grow)

u should just hand water them u know like soil just give them some what er every day, or u could leave the doem on and just leave the slits open all the time. i guess they would dry pretty quik though i use peat pellets to start mw seeds and i had to water them once a day for them to saty moist. dont take the dome off for awhile unless u can check them like 2 times a day to ensure theri not dried up. and the third node is like the 3rd set of branching coming out. i will post a pic of a node in a min. and for light distance. i would have to know what typed of light what type of venting u have and fans if any

here is a pic of a node right where th branch comes out of the stalk.

I always start feeding my plants early on using 1/4 strength nutrients. If you have yellow leaves that is a nitrogen def. They need nitrogen to grow green vegetative growth.

Looks like a great beginning though. You have a lot of equipment for your first grow. That's nice to start off in the right direction.

I'm gonna open the slits and check on them in about 14-16 hours (make sure they're doing okay"

Thanks for the node help, the picture is plenty appreciated.

And right now my only ventilation are the small gaps I haven't sealed off yet and a AC unit inside which is constantly blowing/keeping the room cool. Very soon (probably tomorrow) I'll be installing a 4in inline duct from outside the VEG room into the AC's intake fan which will push the fresh air out cold (I THINK) and I'm not planning on installing an exhaust (Is this stupid) to conserve the cold air... maybe I'll install a small exhaust, if I need it, or if it's recommended.

i would recomend a exhauset of some sort to move the old air out and new in. and nitogen is a nute, all veg nutes have it in it, so if u have veg nutes than u have nitro, but i think they are a bit small for nutes

And without an exaust the stank is just gonna linger in there over n over lol everytime you open the door your house is gonna be rank

This might sound stupid... but do the plants give off an odor in the vegetative state? I mean I know they do during their flowering period... but should I get a carbon filter 4 the veg room, too?

well i would say 30 plants would give off a good odor and it depends if people are going to be comeing in and out alot but i would just put the filter on it anyways

Yea, I'll throw a little exhaust on there to release some of the old air (prolly through a small carbon filter)

And yea, I have my nutes ready but they won't see nutes until they move into rockwool and even then prolly half strength. should I follow the bottle of do half of what it originally calls for?

But you're saying after the 3rd node I should probably start adding 1/2 strength nutes? About how long until the 3rd node? Or is that not predictable?

(Should I be worrying about odor in my vegetative room?)

30 Plants will be flowering... In a flower room (with a carbon filter)

I'm talking about the vegetative state plants? (prolly 8 mothers-ish... and a lot of clones)

im saying when their around theri third bode is when they usally will start to show a def. cuz the age so u would add nutes u can start a lilttle bit sooner just strat at 1/4 and work your weigh up by halfs

Day #8

Okay, all the plants seems do being doing well for the most part BUT!!! I'm seeing a lot more discoloration in the plant's leafs and I need to fix this before I have a serious problem. Most all the plants seem really green and healthy, but others are starting to gain a yellowish tint (will this resolve w/ some nutes?) as you can see in the pictures some are an amazing dark green, when others are beginning to turn light green/yellow-ish.

Most of my plants are also growing beautiful roots outside of their starter plug so I think tomorrow morning they will be introduced to their rockwool and drip system (thinking about adding 1/4 nutes?...hmm?)

Questions:
Will adding 1/4 strength nutrients on a drip system clear up the yellow discoloration?
Should I move them to a drip system/rockwool tomorrow.. are they ready?
Also, some plants have there roots growing out of the plug and are inside the pool of water underneath... is this okay?

You can see it a lot better zoomed in, but here are a couple.

And should I even wait until the morning to transplant? I saw the roots 24 hours ago.

the small disloloration is probably nothing it for sure is not a def. yet. and if u can yes u can transplant right now. but i would start the nutes very low cuz they are not showing a def, i would go with mabye lik half of a 1/4

Drip System Supplies:

Here is most/all my stuff, that I'll be setting up tonight, or maybe tomorrow.

PLEASE, I NEED A LOT OF INPUT ON THESE QUESTIONS!!!

Questions:
After I soak my rockwool in PH balanced water how long should I wait to feed/water them after they are transported into the rockwool?
How much/How often should I feed them? I was thinking 3 times a day at 15min intervals. 7am, 3pm, 11:00pm 15 min each..?
How far should my lights be from my plants? (Link To My Exact Light)(24/0)

i dont know when u should feed and how ofton cuz im not really a hydro guy im soil, but i will try to help i wont give info on stuff i dont know about and since your usin t5 i would think it can get within in 3-5 inces of the plants but only with a fan blowing on them tokeep it cool

What's "def." you've used it several times... not 100% sure what you mean when you say "def." like a definite problem?

and half or 1/4th... a 1/8th? haha?

But you think I should add 1/8th nutrients in my reservoir for a couple days on the drip system to start off?

def. means deficaincy like a nutrient deficiancy. also yes 1/8 strenghth although im not sure for hydro but im sure it will start needing nutes when it is in the hydro system
