RULES OF MY GROW JOURNAL:
1) No Rules
(Post Whatever you want that corresponds, I love any input/advice/suggestions & Feedback) (Open to all)

What I'm Growing:
I ordered 6 Feminized "Kandy Kush," and 6 Feminized "Tora Bora" Seeds from speedyseedz.com (See Full Review)
I also received 5 free "TSM" seeds, and 5 free "G-13" seeds.

What I'm trying to do (Feminized Seeds):
I'm ultimately trying to keep 2-4 mothers for both "Kandy Kush" and "Tora Bora," but right now I'm going to veg as many mothers as I can so I can get 30 clones to survive and transport into my 30 Pot Ebb&Grow System to flower with two 1,000 watt HPS lights on 6ft light movers each. (of the Tora Bora & Kandy Kush)

What I'm trying to do (Free Seeds):
Of the free TSM and G-13 seeds, I'm going to veg as many that can survive for 4-6 weeks and flower them off the bat and keep any females that I have, and ditch the males. (In hopes that these free seeds will give me the hang of things with this being my OWN first grow, ever)

My Setup:
I'll post more in depth supplies that I'm using later.

(I'lll be very active on this Grow Journal, and probably be needing lots of help, and feedback)

Day 3.5 (84 Hours)

Okay, so I started my seeds w/ some seed started plugs, and a humidity dome with fluorescents about 20in from the top of the dome.

Most my seeds seem to have germinated just find, but I noticed some are growing different than others.

Questions:
What temp should my veg room be?

Day #4 (99 Hours)

So some of the seeds seem to be doing fantastic, but some look like they may be in a little trouble (i.e: picture 3, bottom two.)

I'm going to check back on them in about 7-9 hours, and try to remove the seed w/ some sanitized tweezers if I feel like they can't handle the job themselves. (good idea or bad?)

Questions:
Veg room temp?
When Should I open the valves on my humidity dome?

Day #5

I performed a little surgery on the seedlings that seem to be having trouble, and I think there might be a chance that one might recoup.

Anyway, of my Feminized seeds, 8 seem to be growing very strong and I think I'll be moving them into rockwool soon to a drip system.

Just an update, ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE MORE THEN WELCOMED AND APPRECIATED!

Questions:
HOW MUCH LONGER SHOULD THEY STAY IN HERE FOR?
HOW MUCH LONGER SHOULD I LEAVE THE HUMIDITY DOME VALVES CLOSED?
When should I move them into rockwool on a drip system w/ nutes?
How Far should my lights be from the domw, now that they've sprouted?

I would wait until the leafs and stems are more developed. Befits moving to rockwool and drippers

Day #6 (140 Hours)

So about a day after my surgery I'm seeing all wounded plants showing positive signs. We'll see if they can pull through 100% in a couple days.

The tallest plant right now is about 2.5 inches and the rest are around 2in tall.

Question:
Is it okay to lightly mist the plants before I close the humidity dome? Because if you look at the second to last picture most/some of the plants have little water beads that hang off of the leafs, and I don't know if it's pulling the leaf down... or if it's okay.

Open to all suggestions.

Didn't you say you had a dome over them? i've seen people say to spray the inside of the dome and it's best to mist right when the lights come on and right before they go off

Yea, I got a dome over them, and I spray it down once or twice a day... but before I put the dome over them I'll mist them a couple sprays.

Day #7

  • So everything is looking pretty good. There is definitely a chance that all 22 plants will survive.
  • One of the Tora Bora plants has a slight discoloration on its' leafs and I'm unsure as to the cause, and need some help trying to fix it before it becomes anything serious.

Questions:
Does anyone else have any suggestions when I should open my valves on my humidity dome?
Is 69-75 degrees okay, b/c I can't heat the room, I can only cool it.
What's with the yellow discoloration & how do I fix it?

hey man grow looks like it should be good and i will answer some of your questions. i never use a dome for seedlings i would just take the dome off and they will be fine. also i dont really spay plants with anything unless their is a def. or a bug prob orcloneing. i would moive them to the rockwool once the roots start to grow out of the pellets. i wouldnt use nutes till they start to show that they want nutes wich is usally around the 3rd node is when i usally start feeding. and for the lights they should be as cose as they can with out burnng them

also im subbed :bigjoint:

Thanks,

Should I take the dome off even if they're not on a watering system? I don't want the starter plugs to dry out and the plants be stranded.

Still learning, first grow, ... haha, what's "3rd node" even mean? (thanks)

Any suggestions on light distance?
