Brasmith's Hi-jack grow: from seedling to smoke

Good day everyone,

Finally after 10 grows under my belt I feel sure enough in my skills to share grow # 11 with ya'll.

This grow is all part of a new rotation system I am implementing into grow some strategies that I've had going in the past. The goal with these rotations is to be able to harvest at least 6 fat plants every 2-4 weeks. I have alredy began the first couple rotations with some unintended time delay in between harvests, oops, still learnin.

In this grow journal I will share with you my grow of Hi-jack and how this one rotates into the current grow.

Hopefully you all can follow along and share input, ideas, and comments.

Also, I have always seemed to have a plant issue smack in the middle of flowering, 10 grows later and still haven't quite figured it out yet, even in different soils and different nutirents systems. Perhaps the ol' timers around here can help me dial this in. All I'm really lookin for is perfection:roll:, lol.

I am using a new soil mix on my current grow that so far has proven to be great, so I am also using it in this hi-jack grow.

Here are the details:

Strain: Hi-jack
Soil: 60/40 mix of coco and Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil. I treated the coco with cal/mag for 24 hours before mixing them together so the cal/mag could bind to the coco.
Grow Nutes: Aqua Vega by Canna
Bloom Nutes: Iguana Juice by Advanced Nutrients and Aqua Vega for the micros and macros.
Supliments: Roots Organic HPK, Cal-Mag by Botanicare, fish immulsion, and molasses.Only use these when they are needed.
Lighting: for veg under cfls and floros. For flower 1000 watt hps.
Venting: 800 cfm inline duct fan for extracting and an open door w/ fan pulling fresh in.

Here are s couple of pics of the babies, ther is 13 of them.

Feel free to comment, share advice, ask questions, and/or lurk.

I do know how lucky I am to be a grower of these hi-jacks. One of my many little personal goals to moving back to Cali was to try hi-jack, however this strain remains a mystery down here, especially to me. I still have a ways to go before tasting it:eyesmoke:, but soon enough. Even though I grow I'm still not any more patient than I was before, waiting to taste it bugs me already:lol:.

Thanks for dropping in.

is hi-jack good?
ive herd of super, or regular jacks.
are you planning on puttin them outside?
I've tried other jack mixes but not this one, yet. I have only read of it's amazing ability to get a person baked. I have only seen pics, read about it, and germed some beans so far.

No these won't go outside. I'll keep these in doors the entire grow. I have a few out doors right now nad they won't finish up till at the least end of nov.

Glad you dropped in.

I'll post some pics of my two current grows other than the hi-jack grow.

Here are some pics of the 2 small grows I currently have going. One is indoors and there other is out. 1/2 of the indoor plants have about 4-6 weeks left and the other 1/2 has 6-8 weeks left.

In 4-5 weeks I will rotate the hi-jack into the flower room to let them fly.

I have 6 plants outdoors 1 stretched OG and 5 tiny flowering plants, link for small plants:

Have fun lookin my current projects, please feel free to chime in and thanks to thsoe that already have.

Thank you very much for the compliments:mrgreen:. Now I have the big cheezy grin :eyesmoke:. That is good to know that there is no relation to the herer lineage. Now it makes waiting even more difficult, thanks ;) :peace:.

ya man, next grow try it outdoors, it is a huge plant with frosty, monster buds. looking forward to seeing it grown in the indoors though, haven't tried it indoors yet.. but ya man, it is a keeper, and I aint blowing smoke up your ass either:lol: I have a very high tolerance and hijack does the job for me everytime, in fact when I run out of cured hijack buds, which is very soon, it will be a very sad day for me :( ...:D

Here are a couple of pics from this morning. Thye haven't gotten much taller but their leaves have gotten alot bigger. I am trying to keep this batch of plants short, stocky, and bushy.

On the last batch had some stretchin, because I forgot not to stretch em:roll:, go figure:wall:.

This batch will be pinched off at several tips and hopefully the side shoots will go nuts with growth. I have topped before with great results, however I only pinched off the tip top and not any other tips.

The plan is to also pull a mother for cloning. This will be a brand new endevour for me, very anxious to give this a shot.

I have only ever sexed my plants once they were ready for the flower room (about 4-6 weeks old)and then I just did the typical let the girls go to maturity and chopped the boys. My question on this though is: How early can I sex them to identify males and then continue vegging the females til they are the size I want to go into the flower room?

pInching is a good idea, I do it all the time, be careful pinching the hijack though, the stems are so thick they gonna want to snap If you're not careful, ... But ya, I really like to pinch my plants, goodluck!:peace:

Here are a few pics of the babies and how they are comming along.

I put them outside yeaterday for several hours to get some sun then moved them back inside for the rest of their daily vegging.

It seems like they are taking forever to get big:roll:, and I do know the drill on patience, even.

Anyways, enjoy the update.
