BudgetGrower87's U.F.O strain. Seed ~ Smoke

BudgetGrower87

Well-Known Member
6 U.F.O sativa i got out of a $20 bag of brick.
I have grown this under CFLs and was very impressed with the high. Now I'm coming back with a bigger cab, bigger light, and a bigger knowledge of the hobby. I'll be carefully covering my details for other growers. This may not be the perfect grow (something will always go wrong) but should be something worth watching. I'll try to make it as worthwhile as i can with close up pics and facts I have gained.

So sit back, pack some, and bongsmilie away!

Day 1~ Germination

Placed the seeds in a moist paper towel. Sealed in a zip lock bag. Placed in a dark light proof container. Keeping my cab 78* this is the best temperature for cannabis seeds to grow.

Day 4 ~ Germination

4 of 6 Seeds have been planted into Medium consisting of Miracle Grow Organic Potting Mix, and Miracle Grow Perlite. Cab is 76*F with 62% humidity. 150w HPS is 36" from soil.

Day 4 ~ Pictures

The 2 seedlings in the corner of the picture are a U.F.O indica that will be growing in the same cab. you guys get to watch them grow up with these new plants!

humid: 60% Temp: 74*F the larger seedlings have taken on a 2 day watering interval. The smaller seedlings have a 4 day watering interval.

Day 10 ~ Germination
Temp: 76*F Humid: 66%

6th sprout has become a seedling! 100% success ratio on the first stage. The 2 Indicia U.F.O seedlings are doing great.

Day 10 ~ Pictures

Plants A,B,C,D,E,F are my sativa seedlings
Plants G,H are my indicia seedlings
The following is pictures of seedlings G and H
I took close up pictures to show the
FIM technique
it means (Fuck, I missed!) The entire growing shoot just below the bud is removed when the entire growing shoot is removed, the two buds located directly below the cut grow faster and stronger. the bottom ten percent of the bud remains intact. This is the key to FIM pruning. Many different flowering tops form as a result of this single pruning. According to FIM afficionados terminal buds put on much more weight and are more dense.

Day 11 ~ Transplanting

I Transplanted G and H into 6" pots today the root system was healthy and just starting to wrap around the outside of the root ball. I also removed plant F from the growbox. The sprout from yesterday was dried and dead. root system was healthy but i decided to make room for the stronger seedlings.

Day 11 ~ Fertilizers

I started seedlings A,B,C,D, & E on a 25% strength 5-15-5 solution. G & H are still recieving 100% strength GrowBig Foxfarm organic solution.

Day 13 ~ Seedling phase

The Fim Prune is responding well. PH for all plants is 6.8-7.0 I will start the sativa strains A, B, C, D, E, and F on 100% strength Grow big on the next watering. G and H are showing strong growth after the transplant. I will take pictures under regular light when the seedlings grow some more. Enjoy

Day 23 ~ Vegitative

Transplanted G and H into 1.5 gallon pots. Transplanted A,B,C,D, & E into 6" pots.
All growth looks good. G took some heat stress on the canopy from being 24" away from the HPS bulb from heat stress. 28" seems to be a healthy level for the light. Will post pictures soon.
