Ok so people think wick systems are shit.
More people think that self watering pots are shit.
People also think my Ghetto cloning machine is shit.
It gives me the shits :)

I have taken 4 clones from an outdoor Sativa style plant.
I am putting them into my cloning machine for a couple weeks.
Then the best one goes into my pot under a 400 MH for vegging.
Later a 600HPS for flowering.
Medium is Pearlite and Coco Coir.

The cloner is detailed at : https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/119183-davethenewbie-dwc-cloner-fast-simple.html

Here goes!

Day 0
Taken 4 clones from the outside plant
Diagonal cut on the stem, scraped the long side a bit
Rolled the cut stems in cloning powder for 5 mins
Stuck them in my DWC cloner
Over the cloner is a 400w MH light running 18/6
The cloner is running a 12 litre per minute air pump
The mix in the cloner is
- 1 litre water
- 10 ml Manic Botanix which is a Rhisotonic type thingy
- 10 ml Canadian Express Regen-A-Root

Roots looking good, I think I will plant it tomorrow.

The problem is that I have just discovered SPIDER MITES living in my clones.
I HATE SPIDER MITES !
Sprayed the shit outta the clone, lets just hope.

The roots are great, the plant seems to be spider mite free. Im gonna drown it in anti spider mite stuff again today to be sure.

Then its planted.

Ive decided to use the entire Canadian Express Coco line :
Coco Grow A
Coco Grow B
Wilt Guard
Regen A Root
Bio Balancer
Essential Nitro

when you clone how exactly do you do it, just cut at an angle, obviously a healthy shoot right? then stick it in water? then watch for root development? i have never cloned a plant but now that i grew four and three are pretty deffinitly males, im bummed and id like to take any chance to do something productive while i wait for my other 5 or 6 seedlings (two weeks old maybe) to catch up. if i clone might i have a bunch of plants to flower when the babys are ready?
