is this generation screwed or are we waiting for the worse to happen so that we act accordingly to random threats. i'll catch myself right there before i start rambling. look back into history of all those great revolutionaries or activists such as Che, Malcolm X, Jack Herer, etc. they've all made great leaps to get where they are, sacrificed so much, and have accomplished many things where most people would have thought they would've failed. what im getting at is: where are the leaders of this time, when the country(ies) go into an uproar from some law, administration or "under the table deal" is commencing, will there be someone to bare the sacrifice and suffering for the sake of billions of lives.

true as that may be, but times are different now. day by day we are getting closer to a society where the laws strip us of our freedoms, god given rights and especially or privacy. anyone(s) who decides to stand tall amongst the crowd are to be detained or shot down for "causing a disturbance". but i do hope you're right, because who knows if we have to do it in this time or our descendants in the near future.

If you DON'T see the influence of Che on modern S. American politics, you are a small minded idiot. If you don't see Malcom X as a great man, and a leader -- one who helped to changed the landscape of 60s politics, and change the discussion from one of violence to one of reasonable discussion, both with his trip to Mecca and conversion to Islam, and his execution at the hands of his "brethren" than you have no business discussing any politics bigger than kindergarten playground politics.

i appreciate your sentiment, i truly do, but the truth is that the one u truly need right now is always looking back at u when u look into a mirror...
but lets say that one was to step forward for 'truth' and 'damn the torpedoes' etc to get u off the hook etc...
you inevitably end up back to where we started (in the mirror), for how would u ever recognize such a person if u dont know yourself well enough to know what that person would really b like etc...
