Hope everyone is doing well Just wanted to update my 2L perlite/vermiculite hempy!! I am running the lights at 11 on / 13 off as I think they personally do better with this light/dark schedule. It has only been one week and they are really enjoying the 400mh. Plan on switching to the 600hps in another week or so. Peace!!

Can you really pack them in? I seem to think they need a little space, but I guess not. I guess I'm just projecting my own claustrophobia onto them

I too always felt that a plant needs room to move and grow....if anything to let the light get down to the lower parts of the plant....and it's always nice to have plenty of room for your plants.

But then I messed up my growing schedule and ended up with the 11 in my flower room. Someone posted that it's like putting pieces of a puzzle together and that's how it was for me...and still is. One thing I have going for me is my lighting set-up. I have 2 HID lights on a light-mover and a ton of side-lighting to keep all my plants happy in close-quarters. I honestly don't know why more growers don't use a light-mover as it greatly increases how many plants you can put under them. CFL's are great as you can put them in places where T5's and other florescent lights just can't get to.

One thing to consider is how difficult it will be to water all your plants when they're so close together. I've got it down to only having to take out one or two plants from the flower room to water the rest, but even then it's a hope-and-poke with the water jug at times.

I have been growing like Bass, with a 3X3 array of nine 5 gallon hempy buckets.

Yes, they do not get to do as much side growing with this number,
but I get to taste a range of breeds, and I am very much in the sampling mode.

It was suggested to me that four plants might be the perfect number for my
size of tent, and I happen to agree. I intend to up-pot to something larger
and vegging more when I do it, but I will try four in the tent eventually.

I will likely have to raise the roof of my tent though. I have discussed this
in my thread. It could be done by leaving the tent, frame and cover, alone
but for cutting the top out. I would then extend the tent sides to the ceiling
of the man-cave. This will add almost 2' of vertical growing space to my tent.

Whats your watering schedule like bass?

depends on season.
When I had the 9 2gal in there it was warm, and I had to water daily, and sometimes 2x.
Now that its cold and 5 gal pots I water every 3-4 days, but the hazes and the Aliens get dry sooner than the Grape Krush.

Hey FJG! My pots are 3 Gallon Smart pots, ive sprouted 6 seeds so hopefully i can get 3-4 girls from them and run them out to test how i go for space and to choose the pheno I want for the next few grows.

I was just wondering how many viable clones you can really get while topping for your mainlines? like is it possible to get 2 when you top for 4? because i know you can use lower growth for them but the leading growth is a lot more symmetrical right?

Today is day 61 of 12/12 for all the plants but this post is in particularly dedicated to the Mazar x White Rhino from WOS.

Its looking nice and frosty, I took pics of all the tops for you all.

If I had to put a % on the trichomes I really gotta say 95% cloudy, 4% clear-ish, 1 % amber since and saw 2 or 3 amber's so very few ambers.

What do you guys think? I use my own microscope to scope trichs, not a usb one, so i can only zoom as much as i can with the camera, but they are still some pretty nice close shots.

I didn't take any clones, but I know i could of took at least 2 per plant early on, then even a bunch right at stretch if i wanted, from the side-branching... Yeah you can keep them symmetrical fairly easily like you said using all the lower growth, based on how long you veg.

Plus on a bad note I'm out of personal stash, so that will help speed things up...got my drying cab ready, In the drying cab it has been sitting between 40-45% humidity and 61F to 72F temps...Ideal? really my only option right now... Got the jars and boveda packs ready to go also...

You let her dry up before you chop? One last dose of water/nutes and let her dry and then harvest I'm thinking? maybe just plain water tomo, then chop sat or sunday? I know you famous quote on flushing worm "flushing is for toilets!" i quote you all the time LMAO!

No probs bro. The pics are saying to chop. With my soil runs, I will usually 6.8 ph'd water one last time, then dark them out for 2-3 days (48-72hours) chop, then trim under a green bulb...Makes for a better tasting bud. Trust and believe.

B-packs is good. 62% are the ones you want. I usually dry for 5-6 days, and then I'll jar 'em up. Burp burp burp for a week-ish...Then you can lay them down for a couple weeks. Keep them under 65%RH and you'll be golden...That's the "cure zone"...

Heres the cab I have, sorry the pics are sideways, maybe i could use it that way anyway lol, good idea...Its 3 feet tall, 16 inches wide, 9 inches deep, i used fishing line to make a hanging line...actually its weed wacker line LMAO, was originally intented to be the clone box...was my first cab every used to run auto's...never use autos again lol....







EDIT: After drying and going into the jars to be burped etc, do you guys actually buy a hygrometer for every jar? I mean i just got a good one for 18 bucks, the cheaper ones were like 10, if you have 10 jars, do you just put a hygrometer in a different jar everyday or you just spend the dough to have a hygrometer in every jar?

Great question, man...been wondering the same thing myself. For those Boveda packs, do you just stuff them in the jar with the bud? This is the first I've heard of them, just did some googling..hah. Oh, so much to learn.

Dry them as usual then to the jars with boveda packs, getting the humidity in the jars as close to 62 before you put them in would make the bovedas last longer, as they are working less.

yerp. just a green cfl works for me
