Very nice and clean construction! Good job! I like the compact carbon air filter as well.
What light are you using? (just for my general knowledge. It looks efficient)

Looks good man...Just curious, any idea what that thing weighs ? Like if you had to move it (say up or down stairs), would it be a pain the ass or is it doable ?
I'm looking at building a similar type of box...I suck at carpentry though...So I will probably paint it white like yours, and make it look like a workshop cabinet or something.....
I guess I could go smaller than yours....I am only looking to do 1 plant at a time....Any suggestions as to what size I should go with ? I'm also going to have some kind of exhaust fan in there along with a homemade carbon filter.....thanks.

Welcome to the Micro's, LED's are gaining popularity in here, love it.
What is you square footage? I bet it does pretty pretty well.
Nice construction, I have been railing about people using mylar blankets, so kudo's for not using it.

Yes Cowboy, that bitch is way heavy. There is no moving it up the stairs.
My suggestion and I would do it myself if I ever start over, would be to get a tent. You can get them in a size that meets your grow space.
Don't do home made on the filter, spent the bucks and get a good one, you will need it.

That is only 6.25 square feet, and 6 feet tall. But doing a good job, note pics of grow.
As I said I will go with a tent next time. Though this cabinet is nice and stealthy.

I see you used some silver colored insulation stuff...How does that stuff work on cutting the noise from the fan down ? Is your cabinet quiet ?

SC, my cabinet has a slight hum, but not bad. Not sure if it's the insulation or just the fan, it is fairly quite even with the door open.
Yes she is a sweetheart, my G/F and is 60 yrs old.

Answering some questions and my thoughts.
I would not go with cheaper LED's, three watt LEDs are ok but I would look for 5 or more watts. Penetration is the key, and not trying to light more area than the light can handle. My area is 6.6 sqft with a 6 foot height, the CLW SS400 is perfect for my space.
The Mylar sheet is fine but hard to work with.
the final from this grow was:
Buds 5.5 zips, trim and popcorn, just over 2 zips.

5.5 zips of this is not bad.
My bud who I sent a zip too had nothing but praise for it. Tight buds, sprinkled with sugar, grapy aroma and the taste of grape on the hit. He said the high was 9 to 9.5, I can live with that.

Doing a Hempy bucket grow in the cabinet now, Nirvana ACE and Amsterdam seeds White Widow. Will be going to 12/12 in the next few weeks.

If I were to do it again I would pay to have one built by a professional. With my time into it and the cost of materials I spent way more than needed. I was burning one with some friends not long ago and one of the guys there was a wood working guy. I ask him what it would cost to build a cab like that, leak proof both light and air. He called me a few days later and said he could do it for about $250 less than I did it, and I had to do a lot of after repair for light and air leakage.
Hell, I could have bought a number of very good tents for the cost of that cabinet. It works well but could be better.
