You forgot one thing, real scientists do not consider Psychology an actual real science, its mostly just opinion. Why? "Because psychology often does not meet the five basic requirements for a field to be considered scientifically rigorous: clearly defined terminology, quantifiability, highly controlled experimental conditions, reproducibility and, finally, predictability and testability".
And the piece correlating conservatism to lower IQ is somehow been misconstrued because the actual study was one which correlated low IQ to racial and lifestyle intolerant folks and was MEDIATED by conservative ideas. If liberals are so much more intelligent than conservatives, then why do liberals and progressives find themselves so dependent on conservative's tax dollars and not the other way around? That doesn't sound very smart to me.
Why do lefties choose useless post graduate degrees, then end up working at Starbucks or Home Depot while conservatives tend to major in business and engineering? Perhaps lefties want to show off their uber-intelligence on message boards!

The paper you linked does in fact conclude that cognitive ability and conservatism are negatively correlated. It is awesome that you would call a scientific academic discipline "mostly opinion" though. Psychology is also known as cognitive science. Your appraisal is mostly opinion. The study is peer reviewed and based on empirical data.

First off, liberalism is centrist, not leftist. Secondly, I didn't mention liberals. Thirdly, you just demonstrated that intellect is less valuable to you than a marketable skill. My work is done.
Mostly opinion isn't my words, its the words of actual scientists, because you know, almost none of them consider Psychology a science.
At the greatest stretch Psychology is a "soft" science, which is a euphemism for "not really".
Its like a little league base ball player trying to say that he plays baseball just as well as A-Rod and deserves a shot on the Yankees too.

In fairness, it has been redefined so many times that using it by correct definition would seem like yet another redefinition. Just visit a dictionary and find a center right ideology of capitalism, privatization, free market, and even fascism.
