1st time main-lining journal......

Thanks for the warning.

But I'm fine. I'll do it my way for now otherwise I won't learn anything.

I've hacked at plants like this before and still do when needed.

Striking similarities between mine and nugs.
He hasn't got much foliage either.

Also I'm not on a deadline like budolskie.

I've got enough bud to last me til this time next year lol.

yea they do look similar, however you have taken it one node lower, he has 5 leaf, you only have 3, it was your 3 leafs that was my reasoning for suggesting waiting....also not knowing your set up or how spot on it is, and therefore not knowing how quickly your plants will bounce back....

but as you say its your learning curve, its all good.

if unhappy with the hieght maybe an improvement would be to let them get to ten inches tall then chop down to the 4th node....the reason why i reccomend the 10 inches tall is to allow the seedling to establish a good root system, which is what its main objective is as a seedling,,,,as soon as they move from seedling to veg then the training can begin imo...

just a quick pick of my stems

My setup runs smoothly. More so now the summers almost over.

I only popped into my room today. Tomorrow is feeding day so I'll snap some pics.

Point taken about the 5blade vs 3blade.

Something to try next time.

oi oi J hope you didnt think i was being arsey above!? anyways...

Nice one J, they have bounced back a treat! hats off to having a dialed in groom man! not the easiest thing to get spot on...

clearly there is no difference between taking them down to 3 or taking them down to 5 leafs above ground.

budolski if you look at j's picks the girl in picky number 4 has one branch higher then the other, this can ruin a mainline, so you will have to tie them off as level as you can get, if one does stick up (norm the middle 2 on an 8 top if left untied) you will have to super crop it so that the rest can catch up.

i might be jumping the gun abit here but level tops is the key for even growth!!

I had some seedlings I wanted to main line, but the cloner has been full and I haven't been able to chop the tops just yet. I'm afraid I've waited too long but I'm going to do it anyways in the next week or so. Lets see the ladies Bud!

Already noticed the one higher than the other. Was planning on using the first wire training to level them out.

I didn't take your 5blade info as an arsey comment. I took it as something to try next time.

Fortunately this isn't my first rodeo as far as LST training, topping, cloning etc goes so keeping those tops level won't be too much of a problem.

Thanks for compliment on my groom. My closet has had quite a few different variations over the years. Lol.
