A warning to anyone growing GSC from seeds they ordered - Preemptively use Reverse on them. I'm hearing about people having tons of herm issues with them.

I used Reverse before,it doesnt work on plants that are herming due to genetics. I hear it does better on plants that are sensitive to stress related herming, but if the plant just straight up has male and female flowers, Reverse probably wont change that

Good to know. I usually don't mess with strains that herm. But I've grown a few highly sensitive ones.

this is all gsc seeds in general? i just recieved flaming cookies from cannaventure. hoping for fems with vags and strong males with super sperm...

nuwave looks nothing like gsc because they arent even related. nuwave is a 3x crazy strain not cooks and MO or any other person other than the breeder in sf has it. it tastes nothing like gsc.

Your right had to do that to last cycles extrema with one plant. I had to cull it out of flower room.

I'm up in WA and I finally got my hands on a GSC clone. It was a matter of going to the clubs and leaving my name and number with anyone that has ever had them in until I got a hit. And when I say I just got it, I mean I got the call less then 2 hours ago. I was eating dinner and got a message that 3 came in, by the time I called 15 minutes later there was one left. Hot item. 1 cutting is all I need. Good luck and happy hunting.

I've been around the scene from the beginning, been toking club meds round the bay from even before there was a gdp much less cherry pie or gsc. my memory is not perfect from toking all the time, but i can help clear up why there is so much confusion. I love the peeps at green door, they are cool peeps so don't get me wrong.

what happened was gd had some interesting strains going on maybe 5-7 years ago can't remember. had some of the cheesiest stank jamaican I can remember, don't thinnk it was a cross but some heirloom or if mixed, it was inbred. anyhow they also had a durban that would make yur heart skip a beat it was potent. hope they kept tose around. and i know the peeps that grow but i can't say much because it is bread and butter and you don't mess with a man's living and we al kno no one needs any unnecessary fame. so first it's not berner or the bald pie dude whos a front man but lets just keep it at that don't need any drama. he may say so but i kno otherwise. it was also accidental unless they lyin to me some many years back before this cookie fame and even before the rap tune. so i t was some og kush they were working with from a reputed source, i seen the mother its 3-4ft maybe tan green strange color like desert green, closest someone else friend grew was sativa or larry og not from amsterdam but from tightly held so cal stock. anyhow, it was not a good plant to work with, problems supporting itself if grown to be heavy and not herm but intrsexing especially on trim or aggressive nuting or late stage/rodlization. but that is another story. what was told to me was the durbna stock got accidentally pollinated. so when it was grown out that was gsc 1.0.

smaller mini golfball nugs. i toked htis alot never saw the plant frosty some color, cant put ur finger on what spice it is but some whiff of minty flavor for sure. can see the bit of racy poisno influence but fuelier maybe from the chem origins of the og, and not so much wear on the body. later when they started selling it regular, many people got free bag seed because of herm tendencies. allf of a sudden 1 or 2 other clubs had cookies i think herbal mission and also garden of eden and here and there in the bay. so it was announced publicly that these are cousins or what not but actually very likey htey are s1 or s1 x's. a friend got a cut showed me it and it was lanky like dp like, so i'm guess since og k and dp are so different you get a huge spread in the s1. I'm not sure over some months i might say a year, but later the 'legit' cookies changed. doubt itwas due to lost mothers or whatnot but it is all possible since we all tokers lmao. who the hell knows fo sure. but i had to say for sure cookeis 2.0 had some skunk in it, which is to me sweet and yes sometimes skunky but more usually some flower tint. the purple coloratino was also different which makes me 95% sure it was volumized cuz also the buds were bigger, and the flavor was different with more a fruity aftertaste which wasnt notcable before. most likely a top pheno cherry pie which they always had great cherry pie used to volumize it but they wrent saying that because i don'think homies want to be boosting up rival Ken E stock though i have much love for them as well. ironically they have a cookie cut taht is some fire ot me that is diesel in there you can taste the hint of sour i know my smoke. don't know what its called but lets say other cookie #1. now time and again when people come for cuts it was tunred down. but i'm around peeps all the time so i know they wer emaking money selling it here and there for the right price. not sure if it was the original hermie seeds, but that is the likely scenario if people getting that. all i know is the one sold to some med user dude form icmag was mostlikely cookie 2.0 which is what blew up anyway and for a purp lover has the best profile anyhow, then somehow it was leaked that cookies was [dp x ogk-herm]xcherry pie or some said gdp which is gdp and cali connect ogk i believe but selected for desirble pheno and also another with a lot of other gdps and similar ones so much so that ken changed it to 'purp' not purple because 10 different ogks crossed with 3-4 differen purps, the realdeal purp coming straigt not from canada but mendocino and held tightly and drips, which is not easily found either tho the cousins and s1s probably are floating around everywhere. but I deviate from what the dela is on the cookies...

so this forum cut form talking with the crew at gd is either a bagseed pheno, but if im not being lied to its volumized cookie 2, and there wud be a differnece because it would be have a slight grapy from the estes purp. now beyond that i know breeders either bought for too much money bagseed of the original or tried to reverse or approximate so after that is chaos but the common one is {[GDP x durban]xogk}xogk, the extra ogk becuse the color on the gdpxdpxogk looked way too purp looked little like what was circulating as cookies. which is what i belive is most at the major dispensry defin. fire but not cookie 1.0 or 2.0 but othercookie #2 lets just say. not a lot of othercookeis that come close most likely have some s1 worked in either sold or found in some bud because early on there wasnt tight control and the buds had a seed now and again which i bet in my ride if you comb throu theres some ded seed somewhere of the original. lmao. now with ;forum cut then cannaventure then bcbudscm and Calicnx doing the GSC thing i cant say i know what it is they have or don't have wasn't there don't know haven't grown it havng toked it but theres some drama that is nothing to drama over becuz there is not one cookie but a lot of bay area fire that is a lotof people putting in good work and half the hoarders not trying to share the love are good peeps cuz they just need ot get some compensation for a lot of investnment adn time nothing i hav the energy to do like they do so props to them and the otherhalf throwing bad vibes wold'nt know how to make moeny evn if they DId have a monopoly on the only and best cookies to begin with. the dbl ogk cookies is probably what a lot of ppl fell in love with beacuse of hte animal cookie smell, don't know if that is what animal or platinum or fortune or fire cookie or whatever it is, is but whatever it's unique and desirable the spice goes good with the purp and from wht long time growers saying it is workable because of the size, so props out to ken whos got some interesting phantoms in the works.

keep in mind finding the origin name of the strains is meaningless, if you want the realdeal come blow trees with homies at green door. so you find out its this or that og and this or that durban and this or that cherry pie or gdp and then what... the breeders do a damn good job fake or no fake cuz half these ppl chasing cookie animals wudn't know how to pick what they like on their own real talk. and many wud be floored and twitching paranoid by the cookie 1.0 need some of that mellow stoniness of the 'fake' cut which some real deal breeders put some real time into, so its not fake other than all this confusion naming business going on but that will always be how it is in the game, people trying to hide their tracks but toke long enough and you know when theres a 8th skunk genetics or some trinity mixed in or a hint of mendo purp or some african or what not usually.
