Got my beans in the mail today! Gonna start some when I get home from work tonight. Gonna do a few BLZ and The Ultimate for sure, maybe a White Widow just to make sure I'm covered. Lol. Picked up my lumber to build the new flower room today as well. Hope to build it this weekend if I don't have to work.

Hey everyone I found a reverse osmosis unit today at the thrift shop, I see some people use RO water for their grows, what is the benefit?
Hi who-kie! The main advantage of RO for me is the lower pH I get with RO water....and mine is ≈8ppm from the start which beats my 800ppm tap water in the desert any day...when I add nutes to my RO I hit pH's of 5.5 to 5.8 so I don't have to add pH-up or down. And after so long I don't even check pH anymore given the same water source.....some funky strains and mediums had me checking there for a while but I'm right back to where I was for 6-7 successful grows previously.

We just need to take out north Koreas government. This Kim Jung un is just a problem waiting to happen... china and Russia might get mad but they are not going to war over north Koreas stupidity. Not to mention china is heavily invested in the US so they wouldn't risk war with us. And Russia just isn't as strong a military as it once was. Its in everyone's best interest to remove north Korea from the picture to ensure peace in the region. Kim Jung un needs to smoke a bowl and relax on this nuclear weapons fiasco.
Hey 808!, I wish that guy would learn to grow some ganja...maybe he would love something for once and finally see the light...they depend on China to feed their people yet are "nuclearized"...WTF?...I go to South Korea in May for a week of business....and this declaration has been on my mind a lot.

On a more positive note... started 12/12 this week. Bitches looking good...
I second that motion....and after Wattsaver's comment, your bulge will be bigger than mine....LOL

I was thinking 8x8. I think my 1000w and my 600w would cover it ok, what do you guys think? Then I have my 4x4 tent to veg and clone. Might start with just the 1000w for flower and my 600w for veg until I can pick up another 1000w.

My little "koochi bin" isn't bulging yet but I see the day coming...today marks 2 weeks flower...one more week of stretch to go for the Sharksbreath. You gotta love an even canopy when you aren't SCROG'ing intentionally. But you love an even canopy anyway (duh). The rockwool-coco medium combo caught me by surprise and I had to water at the 4 day mark for the first time, based simply on bucket weight..and without overflow with my usual feed qty due to the huge water retention of rock-wool. I watered last at the 3 day mark just to see a tad of run-off. I don't know that run-off is an important thing anymore...if everything is being exhausted in the res....I do want those roots to see some air. The higher density rock-wool is a bonus here...no leaf droop noticed at all when the bucket went light (I mean very light)...very similar to the mapito grow I did.

A lot of Koreans actually do smoke Herb. It's not even illegal in N Korea and many people have it in their garden.

Maybe everyone needs to smoke more weed...Busy day for tomorrow, I could not get motivated when I got home tonight on my greenhouse, so it's a good thing I'm just thinking about it now...I have decided I should have been in life was not an Engineer, but a Reengineer. I actually think work better under the KISS plan...I can design my own stuff, but I can redesign almost anythig

BTW thanks for the reply Jela...I will have to see if it works this weekend, for 3.00 how can i go wrong...

8 ppm is the lowest ppm for tap I have ever heard of but if that's the case I cant imagine a bigger waste of time, money or the environment than running a ro system with 8ppm incoming.
The tap is 800. After RO it is 8. Sounds awesome.
Waddup fellas. Damn im sick today. Hope yall is good im gonna sleep it off a bit while i wait for The Ultimate Fighter.

Very nice Jela. I do enjoy reading your thoughts and experiences with the substrates.

I've been trying CoCo. I have 40-60 (I think) in at the mo. I have experienced slight lockouts with it but nothing serious. .. I have to say though, I can't wait going back to Mapito/Rockwool. On my Mapito runs, the roots system is so well integrated into the substrate that it would be near impossible to use it again. The roots completely eat into the rockwool and I feel this is where it's power lie's.

After just using it for a few weeks, I can see the appeal of CoCo ... but so far I think its a little more twitchy on nutes, where RW seems to remain neutral. ... I form this opinion from how my plants have behaved in them. With RW/Mapito you're not chasing around def's at all, a touch of cal/mag and thats it.
