how to close account ?

already received many emailed with language I don't need in my email,

only this site does not allow any method of deleting account

this is bullshit.

people should consider their privacy concerns before they sign up on a pot growing forum

this isn't just a rollitup thing we don't delete accounts sorry, you need to think about your personal circumstances BEFORE you sign up for something like this,

But site rules never change, we put them in place to protect u the poster and the site, u should never under any circumstance post anything u might want to later remove, think twice b4 u post. Even if we delete a post anyone can copy what u wrote or post within seconds of U hitting the submit icon ;)
 
i still havent seen a good reason why there isnt a delete button?
I just did a quick glance at my profile and dont even see where I could put in a dead email address so I never get any notifications from the site.
I dont have anything to hide and am not planning on removing my account but how can you say its for our security? that doesnt pass the smell test. What about keeping an account open in perpetuity "protects" me?

create an email account specifically for riu and use it ,
Please go to myrollitup right hand top corner
left hand column edit profile
first thing on the page EDIT EMAIL & PASSWORD
Enter in a new email if you are concerned about not having an email linked to you.


you guys can argue until you're blue in the face and pass out, we don't delete accounts that's all

i never post anything that is unsafe for me. BUT how does this rule protect either the web site or the user ?
Its really the audacity of various websites to imply that they own the content irregardless of the real contributors.

These mods are trying to explain to you the rules.I have seen nowhere where they said they wrote the rules themselves. These are the rules.

as painful as seeing the nonword "irregardless" is, I agree. They think they own the content that you posted and dont want it deleted when an account closes. I'm ok with that. But I still dont see why you cant just delete/disable your account.
Strangely I see lots of threads where somebody obviously went and deleted a bunch of their own posts and you can just see the reply with quotes in the thread proving it ever existed. Which makes it look lik ethe guy is argueing with himself. So some posts do get removed by the author already. not sure how far back you can do that.

anyway I would drone on about not caring about the mods explaining the rules. I want to know the reason behind them.

but I realize now this a thread in the Support section and is really none of my bees wax ;) carry on

It would also really suck if a member like fatman got really pissed off one day and deleted his account and all the posts with it. Yea i know hes already been banned but you get the point.
 
It's because your information may leave gaps in threads and then the purpose "help" on this thread would be void!
 
Sorry that migh not have made sense.. This site is for users to get help, or new users to find help, if you delete your account, your comments would be deleted, which could make for a confusing thread for someone seeking information...
 
If anything, these threads lead to suggestive incrimination for the OP.. Put yourself on blast for the Pigs of RIU why don't ya.. I'm 200% legal that's why I run my mouth on here! Whatever you said, has been etched forever into the intra net!
