Potheads diy cab build

i have my exhaust fans and adapter on the way. after work tomorrow taking a trip to lowes to get more supplies.

im almost positive on the 135 w blackstar. lots of good reviews
 
Painting the inside flat white today. Hopefully i can order the blackstar in a day or two. Still need to grab pvc for the intake/ehaust

I also got the pvc i needed for intake / exhaust. Still waiting for the fans and adapter.Here is the idea around the exhaust IMAG0246.jpg this will sit in the top section of the cab to keep it out of the way, while the carbon filter will be hangining in the grow section.

With the passive intake i need it to be light proof. This is what im going to try and use. IMAG0247.jpg
 
So after many days of not being able to choose a light, i have finally made up my mind.

Im going to order the htg 150w hps kit. it has a seperate ballast so that will help with temps.....but it will also have a enclosed hood and 2 4" flanges for a cooltube! For these reasons i have to go with this

I also will now add cfl with it for more 6500k light. Maybe an extra 200w cfl
 
i'm sad you went with only a 150w hps lol. but i'm sure it was cheaper. the cab i lookin good though

i'm ordering the 180w panel next paycheck. can't wait. :)
 
so are you the cougar pc fans to pull air through the carbon filter? Those are great fans btw, I use them all the time, just not sure they are going to hold up for long pulling/pushing air through that carbon filter...interesting to see though! Like the ingenuity!

Yes they are pulling air threw the filter. I have them hooked up to a speed controller to try and not put to much stress on them.

Its is sad.....haha but you are right with the hps being cheaper. plus Htg actuall store is only 20 min from my house, its great
 
i fear your exhaust being inadequate for that HPS. atleast the 150's don't get as hot. make sure you have a nice breeze over the plants

the hps is in an enclosed hood with 2 4" flanges. so it will have its own intake and exhaust. what i have now is just room ventilation
 
5 months later im finally starting the grow haha. due to bumps in the road i had to hood off for a while.

i have 8 bagseed germinating. hopefully i can get two females out of the bunch.

soil is miricle grow mixed with perlite(yes i know its not "good soil")

i kept my cfl's for growing due to heat concerns. i currently have
2 55W 2700K
4 23W 6500K
4 23W 5000K
4 26W 2700K
