The truth of the matter here brother is that most of us have, or have had, successful TGA Genetics within our garden. We respect TGA Genetics. Furthermore, most of us know and respect breeders within Team Green Avenger (aka TGA). Sadly John (aka SubCool) has been around much longer than TGA Genetics and we have personal experiences with him that are the source of this disrespect you may feel here.
That said, "The Weed Nerd" is a good source for learning and entertainment if that is your thing. But the smartest thing you've done yet is to come here and inadvertently get schooled

sub is a marketing genius--
and way ahead as far as how he gets into the new mmj states--( he's usually there first-)
i bet if you go to some of the newer states that have just passed their laws....
you will find new growers jumping up and down about his shit.....great for them and him!! and mmj in general-
i think he has worn off here a bit tho-- (a bit)
but he has his fans and serves a purpose to the new kids on the block--(applaud) [respect-]
i have been seeing his gear for the last 8-10yrs ....and thought " oh great! here's a guy that knows how to market his efforts"...
hes way ahead on that level--[props]
have never ran his gear ....nor do I think I would...? haven't seen any that interest me....jmo-
I have plenty of my own 'gear'-- it has to be really special to catch MY attention-
I have always thought of him as kinda being 'bottom' of the top shelf--
and I don't mean that negatively..there are a lot I feel that way about...jmo

thats what scares me- like watching BC growers 'bleach-out' the strains there and now seeds are worth more$ than the herb-
fortunately for myself I know 'where' he gets alot of his crosses.....and I don't need to go thru him for access

Well I've never watched sub videos or did any of that stuff; but I did grow a real nice Vortex out a few times and it was real good smoke.
It smelled like baby shit; so I never got real attached to it.
Other than that I have heard a lot of bad stuff second hand like the experiences relayed in this thread.
Normally I would just ignore that stuff; but I respect these fellas opinions and so I would be leery of sub if I was buying seeds.
BUT: doesn't sub have his own zoo here at RIU where he can MARKET his brand?
I can see this thread getting stupid pretty quick and don't see how it helps the Michigan forum.

They sure looked like the pictures for me. Now, the potency, lacked. The flavor was washed out (compared to others I have) but I admit I don't use his super dee dooper soil so maybe that is y I suck so hard at growing his strains and his strains only....
