Storing shake?

Hey guys

Could you store your ground up weed as long as your whole buds in a mason jar? I prefer to ground a good amount and store it instead of grounding before every use..

As long as it is in a jar probably...but you would want a smaller jar with less empty air space...
and it still might dry out a little too much...
Hell I've bought some stuff that is so dried out it is like dust, but the stuff I grow I can leave sitting out in a cabinet somewhere naked and forget about...come back in a few months, find that nug, and it is totally awesome! Not dusty dry at all...
The forgot it on a shelf cure might be my favorite...

Shake can successfully be stored in seald glass jars indefinetly if cured properly.
Once your product is "dry" put it in a glass jar, seal it and put in the 'fridge. Check it every couple days at
first by leaving the jar open and set out for a couple hours. Putting product in sealed glass makes whatever
moisture still remains to be evenly distributed throughout the product. That way big buds and smaller nugs all
are the same dryness.

Remember -- dry it, cure it (burping the glass jars) and keep it in the refridgerator. Also, can't help to rotate stock.
Along with grow and strain I record the date the product was put up. Then I smoke the 3/12 jar before the 5/12 jar.

Don't grind it and store it for any length of time. When you grind it, it breaks the trichomes and they deteriorate quickly...I've noticed a drop in potency within several days. Store the buds whole and only grind what you are going to smoke right then. It'll last youMUCH longer.

No reason to put it in the fridge...and will make it more likely to end up with mold on your bud...You can freeze it and then take out what you want...but then you have to wait for it to thaw.

I dry and then put the stuff in jars and then put all the jars on a shelf that has a black shirt hung over it to keep out light...and I leave them like that taking what I need when I need it, from whatever jar I want...and right before all the jars are empty, I fill them up again and the process starts over...
If I haven't been smoking much, or have not been smoking one kind too much, then I will open the jar and smell it a little and move the weed around in the jar, and then back on the shelf it waits til I return...no issues yet.

or do as all the pushers do in Christinia (in Denmark .. a small town in Copenhagen calld Christinia .. more like a hippi town .. lots of open sales ..a bit like Holland I belive)

all them I know ther who sell kilos a week ..press it in to hash .. pack it and seal it in plastic and keep it in the fridgs ..along with ther bubel hash..

been doing that since the late 60ish so I think they know what they are doing ..



was just out ther to get a littel smoke for this week .. a littel maroccan buble hash and some light kashmir hash made from shake and a G of some kush just for the fun of it wile I wait for my kush to finish ..
