I have been using the ones that came with my setups just fine.. But there again, I can't say if they are better or worse than others. But they do work!

i just an 8 bulb 4ft T5ho set up so whats the best veg bulb i can get? i see these true blue and pure blue bulbs on ebay but are the agromax 6500k gonna work better?
Stick with the Agromax. mix the 5500k and 6500k for veg and then just use the 3000k with 2 6500k's tossed in for flower.

Although LV has given you good advice, I would get as many zoomed florosuns as I could afford. Even if you can only add one per week or two, it looks like you have 6 weeks to go, so by the time you want to crank it, you should have ~ 4/8 florosuns; but that's ~ $100, I have no idea the price of the Agromaxes.

Well I wanted to see this guys supposed 4 kessils in one tent but he has t posted anything
oh sorry, I'm on it now. 2x2 with 4 x kessil red h150 and 108w blu T5 mix. 1 dna lemon skunk, 1 rp sour d and 1 #1 blueberry.
blue-red.jpgkessilh150.jpg I built the 150's into the top of the cab.

edit. sorry, uggh what am I smoking? It's 4 x h150 red and 4 X 24w blu T5 at 96w not 108w. That's for my 4' cab. In the 4' cab I'm running a 3k 1000w mh also. I'm not that happy with all the yellow in the mh though as I don't think it adds much more growing energy.

The blu T5 is 2 x 24w actinic plus Giesemann and 2 x 24w UVL 454nm blu.

You guys are still over here blowin' this thread up!

If you want me to change the first post let me know so I can talk to a mod about it.
Way to keep this rolling!

I don't bloom with T5 anymore, but I still use it for cloning and some small veg projects.

Keep at it:leaf:

Depending on the quality of the bulbs, 6500s are fine for veg. Quantums did a very nice job for me, then I ran across the blog LED Without LEDs My First T5 Grow.

What we're doing is hot roding. And like hot roding, it's hard to expect changing up (or out) one thing to make a big difference by itself.

You might add 1 ATI (or similar) Special Blue Actinic + 1 Zoomed Florosun, but whether spending $45 will provide $45 worth of benefit depends on your strain and grow techniques.

So, if you have good grow skills aquarium bulbs should be worth the price
