Strain: Silver Haze

Bag Appeal: 8/10 Light green with dark green pieces. This bud breaks apart into little popcorn kernel-sized nuggs, glistening with crystal. On the inside it looks like yellowish/white carpet.

Smell:7/10 Not a strong odor, mildly spciy with a bit a citrus smell that stays in your nose.

Taste: 9/10 I love the taste of this bud. It's earthy and spicy with some incense like flavours in there too.

The High: 10/10 This stuff packs a wallop in a good way! A very uppity buzz; after taking a few puffs I walked home up a really steep road for a few kms, and did it in record time. As I sit here and type this, I could easily go down and back up again.... (as long as I take my weed with me ;D )

Comments: Overall 8/10 A great strain, one I hope to see more of. I really like sativa buzzes, great for going to class! Nothing sucks more than couchlock in a lecture hall.





EDIT: I wrote this god damn review twice - I forgot to hit submit new thread after previewing my post.... As a punishment making that careless mistake, I refused to let myself smoke anymore until I finished it...again. So, I'm going to have a celebratory zong session. Cheers!

Have a really strong feeling you're in Ontario. I just got this in this week, first time I've had it. Go for more indicas usually, Kush's, Cheese hybrids, Jack hybrids that lean on indica>sativa, power plant. This is definetly a 9/10 atleast for bag appeal, chrystal content is unreal. Love this bud, hope it keeps coming. Nice review.

I'm more partial to purpleish/blue weed, so of course I'm going to be bias. Don't get me wrong, it's very sexy bud and that's why it gets an 8/10.


I busted some up in my electric grinder and it's got a TON of crystal...

yeah! great review! how's the psychoactivity & euphoria levels? i've never had any interest in SUPER silver haze or even hazier jack herer as both strains are reported to have couchlock. at first, i was REALLY jazzed to try skunk #1 in the 90s as i knew it was 75% sativa & euphoric, but after a while on it, i started hating it's couchlock. even at just 12.5% afghani, high quality seed's haze x skunk still has lead eye, but doesn't impair you at least and is nicely psychoactive & motivational.

thanks for the PROPER report! i should have joined rollitup years ago as most forums suck rotten eggs in the smoke reporting department! don't get me started on grow reports that are nothing but a bunch of pics and endless babbling about nute levels & temps with no "happy ending" telling us how the fuck it SMOKES! (the ONLY thing that should matter!) talk about "crop teases"!

yes... i AM a "get me high or fuck off & die" cash crapper hating pot snob. had i started smoking AFTER the columbian gold i started on disappeared only to be replaced by greedy fuck stoner strains, i NEVER would have blazed a second time.

i'm glad to see that getting high is still alive in this forum. thanks for sharing. i'm always looking for new gear to try until i find something as visual as gold, but that doesn't lock

I wonder whose Super Silver Haze has much of a couchlock to it? The original (Mr. Nice Seeds) is a head high, is uplifting, thought provoking, somewhat psychedelic, energetic while also being slightly calming.

Silver Haze, as the thread appears to be about, is claimed to be the first true Indica-Sativa hybrid. It has some age on it, but it, along with many other older strains, is proof that you do not need to purchase the new flavor of the month strain to find true quality.

well "calming" = mild couchlock to me at the very least. i was never able to get a FULL lowdown on super silver haze despite a couple years worth of begging & pleading for GOOD smoke reports all the way back to overgrow days. another reason i never had any interest in SSH was because of it's (& even jack herer's) rep for skunking out. i despise indicas so much that just getting smelly is enough to piss me off.

if i could, i'd ONLY grow 100% IBLs, but haze skunk, 8 miles high, super cali haze & even clear headed (joey weed) C99 work for me.

more than anything though, i'm STILL chasing the trippy sensual buzz of columbian gold with it's visuals, auditories, light floaty feelings, laugh your ass off euphoria & even munchies that i've only seen hinted at in what few sativa type strains i've been able to try or grow. THAT is my holy grail. i haven't smoked anything THAT trippy since it disappeared in the mid 80s.

i've dismissed a bunch of "trippy indoor strains" like SSH, jack, apollo 11, romulan, red dragon, medicine man, & LA confidential etc. for ANY references to couchlock or skunking. i DESPISE afghani as a life enemy. LOL i literally would love to see all stoney strains eradicated so people can start getting high again. it wasn't until i tried 8 miles high that i was FINALLY able to relax from my 25+ years of looking high & low for an ACCEPTABLE buzz (pun intended). that's pretty fucking sad.

even skunk #1 pisses me off. 25% afghani is still too much for me. i DEMAND an IBL type buzz.

i'm keeping my eyes open for strains like jillybean, fruity thai, lemon haze, (25%) columbian gold, satori and anything else with a trippy visual rep. it's possible that what some people describe as a mellow buzz like A11 is what i'd call a "neutral buzz" like 8 miles which has absolutely no energy effects at all, just playful euphoria.

i was just sifting through second hand info with CRAPPY smoke reporting. this is the forum i've joined that has half a freakin' clue how to smoke report. i got REALLY annoyed trying to get a proper lowdown on the always recommended super silver haze & apollo 11 for over a year just as indica trolls got annoyed that i kept asking and refusing to accept "trust me" as an answer.

Definite strong Euphoric feeling, not much for psychoactivity. This stuff is a dream to study/write on! Very easy to perform complex tasks throughout the day.

I love this stuff.... but alas I'm out....

huh... i've been hearing for so long that SSH is trippy, but i actually HAD a bud of it i was gifted that i did get a couple hits of that sound about like your description. i ended up giving the bud away without ever giving it a serious test.

euphoric buzzes are fun, but trippy euphoric ones are the best if they don't impair your function OR speed you up too much to enjoy anything.

thanks for all the details. where most other people jerk off to pics of other people's grows, i do it to smoke reports. LOL that's it... make her do something!

hazey get this one straight ssh is not silver haze ssh is referring to the original mr nice genetics unless you saw it grown or grew it you may never know if your really had it

OH i KNOW i'd love to grow IBLs if i could. i have some highland thai still (full moon). the hard thing is getting THAT kind of high indoors. until more breeders start marrying IBLs with non couchlocking lowryders, couchlock is going to be in just about any "indoor trippy" strain.

i'm more than happy with the buzzes i gout of 8 miles high, super cali haze & especially haze x skunk which is the trippiest indoor i've ever smoked so far, but still has a tiny bit of lead eye.

i'm looking into just making my own with something like
[(C99 x A11) x lowryder] x haze skunk unless i can find something even trippier without a name like jack the ripper, killing fields or i raped your mother. LOL

i wonder if it's even possible to EVER get an IBL high in any fast flowering plant. haze skunk is good enough, but it's still a 12 week strain as are most of the good indoor ones.

i WANT to do IBLs if only i could get a secure outdoor spot. i STILL might try to SCROG some thai under shoplights for the fun of it, but wouldn't try to get a real grow out of an IBL. they just don't like to co-operate.

here's to hoping weed gets legalized and i can just grow thai in my back yard under sunshine the way god intended.

Well said as there must be new strains coming out weekly or monthly.all smoke and mirors. Strains like best mates dont need more then won hand to count them on
