Buds getting taller but not fatter!?! Help!

Hello everyone! Im about 4 1/2 weeks into flowering, and it seems that my buds are growing taller but not fatter. Is this a natural phase during flowering, or am I doing something wrong??? Im using Canna Floura A/B, Canna PK 13/14,Cannazym, Molasses and Beastie Blooms. 150 HPS supplemented with two 68watt CFL's and two Walmart Grow lights(floro). DWC...

so far that looks pretty damn good for just a 150watt HPS as a main light...DWC has treated you well...You've still got plenty of time left for em to swell up even more, but those are some nice ass looking colas so far

Thanks everyone....here are a few pics of the set-up. Im using Canna Floura A/B, Canna PK 13/14,Cannazym, Molasses and Beastie Blooms. 150 HPS supplemented with two 68watt CFL's and two Walmart Grow lights(floro). 5gallon bucket with a large basket, two plants (bagseed). DWC, 3x3ish grow space...this is my first grow ever, so its hard to gauge how im doing. And seeing that I cant really show anyone in person, ive been having to rely heavily on the net...

Yup lookin very nice. Nugs will do a huge swelling up in the last 2 weeks of flowering. Just be patient and result will reflect that.

yea they still got time finish. Don't worry also plants need space and light. U wud do much better with a stronger light

Thinking about upgrading to 250watts, then maybe adding an additional 250watts for a more even coverage...i need a bigger grow space.

Actually I didnt...it started out as a SCROG grow, but then it started getting hard to change the nutrients...so I removed the screen, by then the plants were trained.

Great first grow man, like everybody else is saying be patient and it will pay off, don't get in any hurry. Keep updating it as you go though I'd like to see the progress

I have a switchable ballast so i go from hps to mh every two weeks. one makes them fat the other grows it long. try getting a mh also you will like what happens. I think you can get one at a hardware store for like 60 bucks should come with a bulb. a lil wire and three prong plug your good to go no need for a ballast. what your looking for is a yard light. just cover up the sensor on top with tape check and make sure it dont come on in the dark.

Haha, that's funny. I did the same thing but for different reasons.
Well yeah, it could just be a late bloomer. The calyxes always start to swell at the end. You could try a pk bloom booster. Lotta talk about the ethics of it, but they work pretty good.
Canna pk 13/14 is one off the top of my head, but a few companies have 13/14 bloom boosters. I've heard a lot of good things about Advanced Nutrients Overdrive. Pricey but the people that use it swear by it.

Word from a guy that's been growing for decades is that he's amazed by it. It swells up plants but not with water weight.
I myself used House and Garden's Shooting Powder and it worked wonders for swelling my buds.

EDIT: I see your already using pk 13/14 arent you you supposed to wait till the last few weeks to use that stuff?
