I'm into about my last 2 weeks of flowering on my diesel ryder and caught spider mites. I've dealt with them before on my regular house plants. I've always use straight 70% alcohol in a spray bottle on with great success. I've never used it on a flowering of any type. So my question is, is it o.k. to spray the alcohol onto the bud or should it be diluted or should I not even spray diluted alcohol on it ? TIA

In my personal opinion, I wouldn't spray a bud with alcohol 
Especially that late into the flowering stage.
Get some lady bugs and sick em on the bastards
Or maybe get some organic pesticide? I know there's several brands at the local Wal Mart and they say it's safe to use up to the day of harvest

limonene is one of the more common terpenes that show up in buds(citrus flavor/odor)

I wouldn't put anything on if your in the last 2 week of flower, just pick the most affected leaves is all you can do and cross your fingers. I am not a believer in spraying anything on your buds, most stuff will kill the hairs. Is the infestation bad at this point?
the product was ecosmart organic garden insect killer, active ingredients were 0.25% of clove, peppermint, thyme, and rosemary oil
been 2 days and results seem impressive, it claims to kill on contact
only mites i can see are dead ones, and the buds didn't seem affected at all
smell was incredible after spraying, like an incense
If the problem is bad and your that far in a good trick is to suck the mites off your tops with a shop vac... very gently. Otherwise using an organic pesticide as a leaf wipe instead of a spray works good. It sucks to have to spray such strong scented oils on your buds when they are almost ready to cut.. Azatrol is a great organic pesticide. Think of it as "super neem", its expensive but works very well. good luck!
i've got about 4 weeks of flower left, hoping that's long enough to have the plant oils out of the bud

Im almost 5 weeks in budding and have noticed quite a few spider mites on the bottom of leaves with their eggs and webbing hear and their. My grow room has about 20 plants and is sealed off pretty well with sliding doors but every now and then we leave them cracked to lower the humidity or temp a little. They have also infested my clones that I took from the plants. I recently bought 30 new clones and have them completely sealed off in a veg room from all other plants. I have neem oil but dont want to use it this late in budding what should I do?

Use lady bugs or neem oil and water it is the same thing as all the products on the shelf at your local hardware store. Look on the label the only two things in the bottle are neem oil and water. Lady bugs are more so for pest control but do an okay job if you are suffering infection.

You can use a vacuum to suck off as many as possible, and the nasty webbing if it's that bad already.
Then, use the Hot Shots No Pest strips that were mentioned already. It will kill them all.
If there is any single spot with a terrible infestation, cut it off, and remove.
Keep grow room clean, and remove all dead leaves.
Hot Shots No Pest Strip, seriously. And, they are fairly cheap. less than $10 each.

SNS 217 and neem oil are good at keeping the infestation under control but will not eliminate the problem. Floramite will destroy those suckers. Think of it as a nuke for mites. Floramite is meant for ornamentals and requires 28 days for all of the residual to wash off the plant. With that said I would not use it any later than 1 maybe 2 weeks into flower.

I just came into this exact same situation today. I yanked the most-affected bud (dunno if that was entirely necessary) and blasted the remainder with that exact same shit, EcoSmart. Smells good, I've been using it on my vegging plants with great success, hopefully the taste doesn't stick around too much. Guy at Home Depot told me their sales guy sprayed some into his own mouth to show how mild it is, so it might not mess the buds up too bad. I heard you could use a can of compressed air (for computer stuff) to blast the dead ones (perhaps even live ones) out of there.
This might be a stupid question, but I wonder if you could spray water on it afterward to help rinse the stuff out?

GO to your local grow shop and pick up so sns17 it is basicaly rosemary oil and water it works wonders just make sure you do it in your dark cycle or you will be burnt the mites will literally pour out of your pots

I liked captain jacks deadbug brew with spinosad alot. I also used spreader sticker to make it apply evenly and shut my lights off and turned off all fans when applying. When i mist i start by holding each plant and spraying under the leafs by lifting them up and slowly going to the top of the plant, then rotate and repeat until the whole underfoliage has been applied. then i do every plant and at the end i apply the stuff to the tops of the leafs. i like a nice fine mist, but enough power behind it so it gets shot at the leafs instead of going in the air. I get as little as possible in the soil too. I re apply after 5-7 days and then maybe 2 weeks later
