Are you serious? You saw the chopper hangin' right above your place. You know what you saw and you're just trying to rationalize it to yourself by letting random strangers on a website sway you from your good judgement.
Don't take any chances with your own freedom. If you think that what you saw was clearly surveillance of your residence you should act accordingly. Don't wait for the next warning sign, when they knock it's not to say hello and ask you about it. It's because they've obtained a warrant and they are coming in.
It's time to cut your losses and start again another day. You've seen the shit on TV, it can see clearly through the walls and it's resolution is improving every year.

There was no helicopter chillin' over your house spottin' you. Google FLIR videos and you'll feel a lot better. They can't see your CFL and they aren't worried about it. They are looking for the house DUMPING heat and with a glowing white roof. Not some jackass with a closet that's a couple degrees too warm (not that they can even see it).

Seriously man. Your furnace room is alway warmer than the rest of the house but you don't see them kicking down peoples doors one by one. I mean damn man, they're cfl. I can hold one in my hand after running it all day. Do you really think they can see it. Do yourself a favor. Stop smoking for a day (to get unparanoid) and do some heavy reading on infrared technology and what it's limitations are.
I don't mean any disrespect but common now. To think they can see a closet of cfl's let alone know that it's a grow room and not a dryer, heater, room with better heating, electronics, bathroom with a shower running, is just silly. We have a good number of military bases here in Michigan and they do a lot of training exercises. Do you really think the dea is sending a 14 million dollar blackhawk to find a couple of cfl's? guys they are infra red not x-ray machines!!! the FLIR cannot see thru walls and the only way they bust boys is because those 4-6-8 1000 watter being cooled by the fans shoveling that hot ass air outside of the house or garage or where ever!!! thats what they see is the hot ass air fom the fans!!! This whole thread is just paranoia. There were three cops and a dectective parked outside my neighbors house two doors down. Am I dissasembling my rig? No, because I use common sense. And you're freaking out because of a few lightbulbs. It's just laughable. They don't even use flir in the day! Early morning and late evening/night! This whole thread is laughable.
im in michigan too and my uncle is a cop. i talked to him about thermal sweeps a few years back (he is aware of all my habits) and he said they are pretty much useless unless the person is runnin a massive grow op (like everyone else has said)....not to mention they cant use thermal as evidence against you, they would start to watch your house (stake out style) to see if they could get more info on if your growing or not then watch you longer to see if your selling. so even if they did see your stuff on a thermal sweep (highly unlikely) it would be months before they confronted you and thats only if they get more evidence against you. i wouldnt worry about any low flying airplanes/choppers unless you had a decent sized outdoor grow, 4 outdoor growers got busted in my area last fall...1 was reported by a hunter (fuckin asshole) and the other 3 were seen from a chopper.
i live about 45 minutes away from the Selfridge Air Field and 20 from a small local airport so we get low flying planes ALOT...it freaks the shit out of my cats lol, especially the big ass military helicopters...those are loud. anyway, im blown out and i feel like im rambling so yeah...your safe.
