Think of a grow tent as a portable closet... hyou can score some good quality for about a $100 for a 4X4 footer. some what cheaper for a 4X2.... 2 of these, on for flower and one for veg and daisy chain your ventilation and you are rocking....

I looked at the tents, they actually look like they would work well for what I want to accomplish. although I am confused cause it said that they come with an exhaust hole in them but what about an intake hole. Also where would you put your ballast and light.

There are plenty of DIY threads here. I would try an aeroponic system they are very cheap to make with a little bit of common sense and build a grow cabinet or two. And I would save one of your plant slots for a mother. with aeroponics you get more yeild from less plant and you don't have to veg your plants. So you could keep a mother and use the aero systems for bud only. And if you wanted to veg them you can and they will get huge fast.

I haven't fully read them all but the pics seem very thorough. with grow cabinets and carbon filters you don't have to drill holes in much you can control the smell and have greater control over your enviroment. good luck with your grow

mmjp1, I had the same issue years back with renting. Your right, landlords don't like it when you tear up the premises. LOL, anyway, did you consider simply purchasing a really cheap door and cutting a hole in it size of your fan or so? Or even a 6 foot piece of cardboard to use as a wall. Don't have to close your door completely then, then cardboard will keep pets out and let air in. This is just a super cheap way of venting though, but desperate times call for desperate measures correct? Hope this helps...DJ

I wouldn't say your dumb homie. And those where just some quick finds there are a lot of DIY threads and they usually have step by step instructions. and the more of them you read the more things will just click. they are usually alot of fun if you can bring some of your friends in on the projects, if you trust them.
