i’m running 4x8s. i feel like that goes without saying lmao but how do you guys think i can maximize my yield in these spaces? i’m thinking of running 8-10 plants per tent. 5 plants per 4x4.

i seen a bigger company growing indoors and using tomato cages for each plant. the circles got gradually bigger from bottom to top and they could trellis with the cage on. this seems like something i could do along with LST?

or would i be better off just doing LST and trellis net. other ideas?

You would think that you would have figured this out by now? You're asking basic growing questions are trying to sell commercially?

4 plants per tent lst and netted.
4 plants per 4x4 or 4x8? i’m trying to do around 75d veg. not counting the first two weeks from sprout.

i would think 16sqft would be plenty for 5 plants at 75d veg. LST from early on, topping, trellis them and flip.

but i really wonder if i would benefit more using traditional LST and tying etc or using the tomato cages with LST and tying.

90 day veg from sprout? You must be growing in soil I take it?

This is really strain dependant. Ideally you'd have experience with the strain and have experimented with different techniques and choose what's best from those results.
Typically your best results will be from less plants grown larger. Try to figure your number of plants based on the amount of time you want from start to end, and keep in mind the maximum size the plants can reach in that time. Again you'd need experience to know for sure.

If it were me I'd have 4 plants in each 4x4 vegged for 4/5 weeks then flipped and netted, I wouldn't bother with cages they're too tall for my liking.

That's the kind of shape I'm after

I'm doing 4 X 8 under 2 Gavita LED's and averaging over 100 oz per crop.......... how?

1. 24 plants total, 12 plants under each LED.
2. 4-5 week veg, no longer or most plants will become too large
3. grow strains labeled as very good or heavy yielders
4. thorough defoliation to allow deepen penetration of light
5. keep plants healthy throughout grow
6. top plants once, around week 4 to limit height and grow wider plants with an even canopy
7. flower long and harvest late to take advantage of late weight
8. keep plants short, so light can hit top to bottom of each plant

Do a google search for my Orange Gasm thread (sshz and orange gasm) over at THC Farmer.....currently with 65K views, it's a start to finish thread (around 89 pages long) that details how i got 106 oz's on my first LED grow a few years ago.

4 plants per 4x4
Coco
Topped
Super cropped to flatten plant out
Net for support
Remove lowers

Many ways to skin a cat but you want to aim for tight internodes in veg and an even full canopy and light distribution in flower.

(Just a pothead tossing in ideas)
Run teen clones. 12 plants per 4x4.
Couple weeks veg in a trellis of course.
More plants will fill the area faster. (Why I mentioned 12) some may say 16. Less grow time = more harvests.

Edit:I just finished tossing a clone in a 5 gal that was vegging for quite a while in a 1gal. Soon as I put her in the 4x4, I broke dat azz down into the net by force. I think she liked it.
