Sounds like youve got the hang of it ill have to check your pics out. Choco is the Queen sativa in my book!

hahaha yeah me n westy are always coming up with 'smart' things to say

i have been thinking more and more about doing a sativa but normally my perpetual demands 8-9 weeks max but im restarting my op in a few months time so who knows i may get some on the go a 4 strain sativa mix up does sound appealing, i might sneak a cheeky 8 week sativa in if i can remember the name of the strain tho its probably somethin easy like early sativa lol

so do you make a habit of revegging? i was wondering about it some older hands ive seen grow reckon their bud is stronger the second n third go round but ive always thought its BS you cant make a plants genetics stronger ?!!?

happy growin wiz!
Lol you guys crack me up...good shit. If you grow a sativa i would go with the same genetics under each light so you dont get some wild height variations screwing up your light intensity from plant to plant. This is only my second grow, besides the one time I was growin some bag seed in pots on my roof when i was at home. They were healthy and would have produced but my brother told on me after a fight we had. My dad was a botany major and was always growing bonsai and other things and his passion spilled over to me. I had wanted to grow MJ ever since my first rip off a joint needless to say. To answer your question I had never reveged before but it worked perfectly, there was some obvious stress for 3 or 4 days but after that it was back to normal veg growth..just a little weird twisty growth, but hey it works. Im glad I did it, ill have some bigger tastier buds when theyre done.

re-veg eh?....interesting. Must of missed that part from just drooling at your buds. How long does it take for them to get their grow back on again then?
Oh its not to bad it just depends on how healthy the plant is already. I would say anywhere from 3-7 days or so. Thats how it was for me anyway. I had one little straggler out of the OG bunch, but they all look like they're at the top for their game now. I have noticed how constant steady PH's keep these girls happy more than anything, and of course not overnuting. You guys have probably noticed the leaf curl and burn on the choco and white widow, thats just because ive been pushing them hard with nutes for the last few weeks. I think thats how your supposed to do it though?

I know revegging wouldnt change the genetic makeup of the plant. The only reason I did it was because the OG were so much smaller than the choco when I put the room into 12/12 so I decided to split the room with a tarp and have 2 seperate light cycles. That way when the choco get chopped down The OG would still have about 6 weeks to go and I could spread them out and use the 1000w i was using over the choco. I will be getting more than twice as much out of the OG as i would have if id kept them on track with the choco's light cycle. I REALLY cant wait to do the chop and then spread the OG out under both lamps..cant wait to post pics of that.

I actually dont know much about re-veg. Honestly I wouldnt do it unless I had to because it puts you back about a week. If you re evaluate your situation after switching to 12/12 and figure you want them to put on more size before they really start budding go for it. The bigger the plant gets in veg..the bigger the buds will turn out!! I think indicas in 5gallon pots should produce some MONSTERS if you let them go in veg a couple weeks longer. You dont have to worry about the indy's stretching to much, so thats nice. Man I love the science behind growing pot..just love it.:bigjoint:

So I have started to dry one of the plants. I chopped her down a couple days ago and I have her hanging up in a closet in darkness. For some reason, this happened last time to, the buds are starting to turn on a sort of grass/hay sort of smell. Is there anything I might be doing wrong and are there certain things I need to be doing to really bring out those stinky fruity smells that were so clear when the plant was still alive?

cure cure cure man when your buds are nearly dry still a bit soft to the squeeze jar or tupperware your buds. open em up every day about the same time for a week or so.

if you open the jar the first day and it feels really wet then dump them out onto a sheet of paper or tinfoil or somethin. next day back in the jars. repeat the opening every day for like an hour or so then re jar it. if it still feels damp back out and so forth.

by then end of the week or so it should stink.

should be good to stay in the jar till you smoke it after that. the longer you leave it the smoother and nicer it will toke

:)

Dude im trying not to. Last grow i dried them a bit to fast i think and this time i dried them without a fan in the room...big mistake. I will probably lose a couple Oz. from bud rot from that white widow. Good thing though is a majority of it is choco and none of it seems to be affected at all. I caught it early so hopefully this will be all the trouble that crap gives me..im really depressed right now..gunna smoke myself retarded

Is there anyway for this stuff to go away? I read if you caught it early you can soak the infected buds in milk and it kills the mold? I tried this and dried them off and split up the main colas into much smaller nugs. I am leaving them in a room with a couple oscilating fans to keep the room dryer. I woke up this morning and the affected areas look much better. Are my eyes playing tricks on me or can this stuff actually get better? Either way you have a point there Don. Whatever part of my harvest goes to shit I will be making some really nice hash with.

i have no idea whether that works man or whether it will have just soaked the buds with milk ?!!? might dry out n smell a bit funky but as for it killing mould spores i doubt it.

only time will tell. ive not heard of any way to reverse the mould. id cut losses make some honey or hash n smoke the good part of your harvest. just my 2p fella

Yeaaaa thanks for the support fellaz. All the bud is nice and dried, no bud rott from what I can tell. I think I caught that stuff really early before it could make spores or something. I ended up choping all the buds into little nugs and they dried out nicely.

I am growing 4 O.G kushs #18 right now and 1 blueberry/hash plant. They look incredible right now and I will get some pics up tonight of how I have it set up. Once again thanks for the postitive feedback and support.
