Soil to DWC (PIC'S)

Keep your PH at around 5.8. They should be alright after the initial shock but I am wondering if the growing medium may have something to do with it. you say you are using sponges?

Im building a system like you . I like this there is no hydro shops near me either what kind of sponge and how did you do it and what kind of nutes are you yousing and were did you get that ph test kit ill be watching plus rep good luck and happy growing

351, if you don't have a medium you can use plain ol pea gravel, it will give your plants a little more support.. looks good can't wait till I get mine in...

One week later, after tranplant

ok looking good, no good growth yet:-?. getting new roots

so
running 24/0
temp70-80F
water temp 70-75F
ph 6-7 cant keep stable keeps going up!
use 1/4 MG nutes 26-8-16

having some leaf problems turning yellow with green veins?
thing of flushing with plain ph water? maybe over nuteing them?

What kind of nutes are you using and are you using and micro nutes? It looks like Mg deficiency to me so if you are not using micro nutes, you should really get some or epsom salt or Cal-Mag. Also, be careful with putting the frozen water bottles in the res. The roots won't like it if they touch it and will be shocked and stop growing in that spot for a while. Otherwise, they look good.

ok week 5,week 2 in dwc.everything looks good, its there first rez change:mrgreen:

been seeing new roots for a couple of days now? did i kill, freeze the roots at rez change or did i leave them out in the air for too long. or root rot?

rez temp 68F
ppm 303
ph 6.0
temp 73F

added another air pump

anyone have a problem with there root going brown after rez change, they were pure white before rez change?

Sometimes roots turn brown and nothing is really wrong. If the roots are slimy, you have a problem. If not then you should be ok, but look at the rest of the plant. Is it a good color? Are the leaves strong with no drooping or curling?

ya i dont think its root rot? but thinking it the ph shifing like when i went from soil

ph is stable once again leaf are showing it. waiting on fox farm trio to arrive on the 3rd? hope they make it?

had some brown spots up and down the roots in pics?

They look good, just a little nute burn it looks like. Could be from too high of nute dose, high or low pH, or pH fluctuation. Try not to change pH by more than .5 at a time.
