My weed is brown.....but its great???

So yesterday my buddy calls me and tells me hes going to start selling and he cropped out and has some really good weed. So I was like sell me a quarter he says ok and comes over. He pulls out a scale and dumped the weed on it and it weighed 10g, so I was happy. But when I looked at the weed, its like golden brown! Ive never seen weed like this before, I thought it was going to be some nasty mexican schwag shit but its soooo smooth. Im pretty high off one bowl, usually it takes 2 or 3 to get a buzz like I have now, I cant figure it out, have any of you had weed like this?????

Iv had brown weed before and no it wasnt mexicano, it was potent I think its just old and really dry, I never judge weed on what it looks like until i smoke it iv had the shitiest looking bud get me more ripped then the best herb iv seen , but yea i think its just ben ageing for awhile perhaps did something to the thc, weed is like a fine wine

ive had chocolope that was brown, but it looked and smelled like perfection. it was brownish, but not in a shitty way

ive seen good weed that was bricked like shwagg too. so i guess the look of bud can be deceiving

if a plant dies from drought, and dries on the vine, leaves will be yellow/brown, and buds will have a golden color. resin is good, but the appeal is gone.

Well It couldn't have been aging for long because he just harvested this weed maybe a month ago.

he must've waited a good long time to harvest. maybe the gold color comes from no clorophyl+amber trichs.

Yeah he said it took 8 months for him to grow it and it was indoor.

Really old well cured weed is kind of a golden brownish green. I'm betting it's normal.
