First time grower with lighting concern

heres the situation. germinating 4 seeds hoping one or 2 are female. i have a work light for construction dont know if its flourescent or MH what bulbs do most work lights usually use. its a 150w and i have 2. i dont want to use the 2nd if not necessary do u think this light will be sufficent for or 2 plants? im also growing in a fan vented rubbermaid container gonna be doing LST to keep them short.

ur guess would be better than mine with a description like that
i think ur talking about a halogen light and in that case its no good

aw F%@$&@ you might be right i just looked up work lights and the halogen ones are what i have. thats okay im gonna go buy some CFL's with those adapters that u can hook 2 bulbs to one fixture how much do u think it would cost if i got 4 cfl's and 2 of those fixtures

alright that i can deal with do u reccomend wattage for cfl's and should i use just two or 4 cfl's

recommend at least 1500 lumens sq ft...5000 is optimal
6500k for veg
2200k for flower
that should let u know how many lights u need

** i think im gonna go for 4 42W cfls they give off 2800 lumens each so 11200 lumens should be good

as long as u got the lumens and kelvin right u will be good

okay i have been looking at bulbs a lot dont list the kelvin and some dont list lumens. what a pain lol

dude first time use florescent to veg and hps to flower.. just my 2 cents check my sigs and you will seee why i say that
