My originally post is really how trainwreck came about. Ask any old school grower from Humboldt or mendo and they'll tell you the same thing.

There are many true breeding strains out there as well as landrace plants. you just have to know the right people, Heck even the REAL skunk#1 for sacred seeds is still in a open pollenated untouched form, but yet agean you have to know the right people .wink wink.
alot of people are passing sativa dom crosses off as some type of kush? but if you have grown any kush you would know the sweet kush smell they mostly all have a hint of is easy to detect.
And ganja lets you see in the eyes of Jah , no power on earth can effect the herb of the king.
and if you go look it up . its easy to find the story of g13, so piss off troll.

my buddy told me his friends dads uncle had a sister who was married to the cousin of a well known breeder who had a distant relative that knows were the real trainwreck is.He said it is great weed,but he cant count on 5 hands how much great weed he,s had.He,s lost count,so take it for what it is,the grass is always greener on the other side,and we are never satisfied with what we have.

right on man,if you have a strain that takes you were you want to go,your already home.enjoy the smoke.really we don't know whats what any more,so many plants have pollinated a room by accident that every thing is out of whack.the more things change the more they remain the same.i think for the most part what seperates good weed from great weed is an extra 2 weeks in the flower room.their are so many great 10 week strains or 75 day strains,but every one wants 8 weeks and chop.ive grown out average bag seed and made it really good.i find a lot of bag seed can be great weed.the reason is that cash croppers look for something they can cut at 50 or 56 days,imagine if you take those seeds that came with the weed and took it its needed 10 weeks,you find a whole differant smoke,ive done it with juicy fruit and bubblegum.do i want a trainwreck cutting,sure will take any cutting to mess with,cannabis is a fun plant to play with.

dude if you believe any of that b.s. that trapper was saying your an idiot i have been growing train wreck for about 8 years and never heard such a b.s. story i live in nor cal and use to live in arcata and never heard such a story. my guess is that it orginated like every other hybrid strain, cross breeding and diffrent pheno types. as of g13 his story is b.s. too only because one of the only university that studies the effects of thc and cannabinoids is mississippi state @ the time of its origination and just for common sence most scientist that work with specimens tend to give them an abrivated letter/number like " section g specimen 13" its a lot easier saying that then afgan kush x silver haze, (not saying thats what g13 lineage is) a creative imagnation can come up with any b.s. story that sounds good but most of the time common sence can shoot holes all through it. he probally can tell you where big foot lives too. sorry dude for blasting on you like that but u asked for it

family soldier you saying you don't know were Bigfoot is.You gotta get out more man.Track through the bush and set up some 330 conibear to catch some Bigfoot bait,don't use a 220 because you will only get weasels and minks,not much for the liking of Bigfoot,Bigfoot are real big eaters,then take some beaver Castor and rub it on the trees around were you have left some fish and bacon grease that you have fermented in a jar for the summer until it gets that real funk smell which you then pour on your bait that you caught with the 330,the funk of it all will travel for miles on a good day,and voila Bigfoot will appear.If you still cant find him i will give you gps coordinates to make it easier,but first you must try this on your own.I will give you one tip,hes not at area 51.

one more thing about Bigfoot,when you find him and i trust you will family soldier,is that you do not mock him with monkey gestures,it drives them batty and their liable to attack,because to the Bigfoot thems are fighting words.heck they don't even climb trees let alone live in them.just a few words of wisdom,now get out their and find him.

... a bit of an old topic but I'm fairly sure I found the original Trainwreck in Montana 
I befriended a very reclusive grower up near Flathead and he said he's been growing the strain since he was about 15 years old, he's now in his 40s or 50s. He said he got it in Arcata, where he grew up, and has been taking clone of a clone of a clone since then. It's not particularly vigorous and is a super weird plant to grow: it grows very low to the ground with dark purple stems, flowers out with these compact, smaller rounded buds that have a very astringent smell like eucalyptus or tea tree oil. The high is absolutely incapacitating, so much so that I don't like to smoke it. As my friend says, "it gives you a case of the down's" (down's syndrome) Personally, I prefer Headband or Jack the Ripper, far more stimulating, productive highs.
Another thing is that it's so coated in resin that if you torch it, it will actually light on fire, like a full on fire in your bowl, so roast it gently.
If anyone's in SW MT, I wouldn't mind passing on a clone. Give me a shout at zlessley at yahoo.com

As to trapper, I'll agree largely that there are far more NAMES for strains, then there are actually unique and interesting cannabis cultivars.
Lots of strains with entirely different names and histories ultimately share most of the same genetics, and I'm not only talking about 150 variants of "Blah Blah Kush/OG" that are about 85% identical to one another.

So what it comes down to is that it is one of those awesome strains that we don't really know or give two shits about the actual origin of. It is there, and we have it to work with, much like Skunk No. 1 or the modern day Northern Lights, which is mysteriously sativa dominated as compared to the NL I grew in the late 80's. We know that we can smash it with LRS's and unlock dope ass sativa and indica recessive traits alike. So do that, and make up your own cool name and become a breeder. I've been a breeder in the United States for a long fuckin time. I am not famous. Some of the strains I made that became famous: Razzle Dazzle (A.K.A. Pinconning Paralyzer) [nl x 8th gen. outdoor Skunk no. 1 Michigan] in 1992 and Super Purps [Super Skunk x Hawaiian Purple Bud] in 1999. The first one became famous from a Chicago crime organization getting caught with 20 pounds of it in their limo caravan heading back to Chicago from Pinconning. We (the guy with the Northern Lights and I) called it Razzle Dazzle, which already had a following statewide and in Chicago for a couple years before one of my customers bought the whole crop out to sell to a guy he went to CMU with a kid from Chicago. I told him before NEVER to call it Razzle Dazzle, because he was the only person who lived in the town where we grew this weed (this crop was written about in High Times magazine in the early 90's under the banner of their long running series of articles about "Gorilla Growing"). We were growing well over 100 plants. Hell, I lived in Flint, MI at the time, and everyone I knew KNEW I grew in Standish. It was outside of Standish, and Standish being the closest thing to a town to the land we grew on, we considered it a Standish grow. Somehow, Pinconning wanted to lay claim on it, cuz the dude from Standish that I sold the BIG stuff to - he was ACTUALLY FROM Pinconning. And even though Pinconning is just a dot on the map, he had pride. He had the kind of pride where he actually NAMED my strain Pinconning Paralyzer. Its cool, I have no problem with that -Hell, I told him to name it something else... its just funny that, all this time later, MY weed is the one history remembers as the REAL Pinconning Paralyzer. Funny, because I never even been to Pinconning. I HAVE been paralyzed before from a neck injury, but I'm good now. There is someone up North growing weed right NOW in 2012, calling it Pinconning Paralyzer, and I am feeling like I am getting my copyrights infringed upon. I don't doubt the story I heard from up there that this person was growing this so called Pinconning Paralyzer before the crop I grew (which was in High Times and was busted by the Michigan State Police on a highway drug raid of a Limousin caravan - kinda hard to lie about all that public info shit). THERE IS A CHANCE that someone was growing some kick ass shit and called it PP.... and they are the ones who sold that 20 pound deal to those mobsters from Chicago.... and I thought it was mine because of the timing and the fact that my connect who I sold to out of a bar in Standish and was actually from Pinconning, HE was busted a week after the highway pull over raid. HE went down hard and didn't name anyone. Not to mention, he told me the 20 pound deal was for a fellow student of his from CMU that was from Chicago. Too many coincidences... So if it is HIM who is growing this 2012 Pinconning Paralyzer, well then, that is acceptable as well. ANYONE ELSE THAT IS GROWING IT AND TRYING TO CLAIM THEY ARE THE ONES WHO STARTED IT: I have the original Michigan Skunk and Chicago Terrace Grown Northern Lights Seeds.... I plan on remaking the exact same PP within the next year or two. Meanwhile, I can't wait to try yours, whoever you are. True: I have never been to Pinconning, nor have I ever lived anywhere north of the 48420. I just went up there to grow weed when I was a kid. Now I am a grown ass man and I don't appreciate the jock ride.
The Super Purps was famous, and there have been a lot of things like it come along since. Figure it out. Any local grower who was frustrated growing purps grabbed a skunk plant to boost production. Every once in a blue moon, that shit made a purple pure that produced like a skunk plant. Mine was AWESOME. Single cola plants outdoors were yielding 4 pounds per plant. WOW. Yeah. So I was involved with that genetic VICTORY.
Then there is the famous Potent Purps. http://hightimes.com/news/ht_admin/4882 I had a lot of involvement with this strain after the fact. After the fact that the guy who I grew it for had already been indicted on 8.3 million in real estate fraud and tax evasion before I started growing it. Who KNew? Whatever. I didn't invent that strain, and I don't even have a copy of it now. Okay I am OUTTA HERE. PP Growers: Hit me up let's make this shit right!
