It is a good game I just dont see Walton & Odom coming to pull it through till the end especially wit Odom's back and Walton's unsure shots...There just isnt enough coming of the LA bench compared to Denver's...

Let me just start by saying I love Bron Brons Game and I do believe he can go down as one of the greatest but Im sure all of you are comparing there games in the present. Lets not forget how sick kobe was when he was 24-25!!!! and he didnt have the freedom that Lebron has had because Shaq was the Leader of the team. Lebron Has size, strength, and quickness over kobe but kobe has more strait up skill!!!!!! Kobe all the way!

Kobe's "24-25" stats have been either been beaten or matched by lebron what's your point? The only thing this arguement about Kobe's earlier career brings up is the fact that he attained 3 rings (with the help of shaq). And it doesn't take a championship ring to show greatness in the NBA....

And why are the Nuggets turning the ball over for no reason honestly? The are frustrating themselves now...

Dude, do you know anything about basketball, besides looking at stats?

Kobe has always played in the Triangle Offense, which if you would research, it would show you that the offense cuts down and limits assists. It's not a secret. It's a complex system where everyone has a role, whereas LeBron's system puts the ball into his hands for 80% of the game, which inflates his numbers.

Numbers are deceiving, and that's why you can't look at a box score and pass judgement without watching the actual game.

9 pages of a debate that shouldnt even exist. some people need to learn the difference between who IS better and who they like better.

After O'Neal was traded to the Miami Heat following the 2003–04 season, Bryant became the cornerstone of the Lakers franchise.[4] He led the NBA in scoring during the 2005–06 and 2006–07 seasons.[1] In 2006, Bryant scored a career-high 81 points against the Toronto Raptors, the second-highest number of points scored in a game in NBA history,[5][6] behind only Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point performance. Bryant was awarded the regular season's Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) in the 2007–08 season and led his team to the 2008 NBA Finals as the first seed in the Western Conference.[7] In the 2008 Summer Olympics, he won a gold medal as a member of the U.S. Men's Basketball Team, occasionally referred to as "The Redeem Team."[8]
In addition, Bryant was selected to eleven All-NBA Team (seven times to the All-NBA First Team) and nine All-Defensive Team (seven times to the All-Defensive First Team). He has appeared in the NBA All-Star Game 11 consecutive occasions, winning All-Star MVP Awards in 2002, 2007, and 2009, the last of which he shared with Shaquille O'Neal. He also won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest in 1997.[9] As of March 2009, he has had five 60-point games, twenty-four 50-point games, and ninety-six 40-point games.

lebron is a great basketball player. probably the best one to come along SINCE kobe bryant. but kobe isnt retired yet. and he hasnt fallen off yet either.

lebron might be the most capable, as of yet, to POTENTIALLY fill kobe's shoes. but he hasnt been in the league long enough to even come close to doing that yet. those are some big shoes.

Ok and this is my issue with Kobe you sit there and tell me the triangle offensive sceme "cuts down and limits assists" I know this. And then the Iso that the Cavs usually run explains Lebron "getting the ball 80% of the time" but then again wern't we just talking about how Kobe never passes? Always keeps the ball? Takes a number of LA's shots? The same player that scored 81 in a game? Lebron & Kobe are the same players one is younger than the other. If we could go back make Kobe 25 and have him and LJ go at it. I bet my money on Lebron.

And Eric if you wanna pull out the awards...(1st 6 Seasons)

so LBK will be bounced out of the playoffs tomorrow/today.... and the argument going for lebron being the superior player now has taken a blow in the intangible department because he is proving he is incapable of willing his team to victory (much like Magic, Isiah, MJ, and KB). MENTAL TOUGHNESS is a huge intangible, and LeBron just doesn't have the same will Kobe has.

Kobe proved it again tonight.

I don't think it's that he doesn't have the will but I think he's starting to not trust the rest of the team which is more than understandable considering none of them have showed up for this series...

Kobe was giving his teammates earful after earful after earful between games 4 & 5. He jumped on their asses, and they responed. KOBE = SUPERIOR

I didn't see or hear of any reports of LBJ jumping on his teammates' shit expressing unhappiness or demanding different results. If you can locate any such reference of LBJ getting on his squad & achieving desired results in these playoffs let me know... LBJ = INFERIOR

Great team basketball by the Lakers last night. They still had too many turnovers and missed too many shots in the paint though. IMO, they should've won by 20.

And PLEASE......I can't stand the fawning over Chaucey Billups anymore. And would somebody please get his ugly mug a sweatband already GEEZ!!

Yeah and if you remember a few year's back Kobe gave earful after earful to Andrew Bynum may have been his rookie year to the point where the man cried what part of that can you manage to call "superior". I call that lack of leadership...there are better ways to motivate your own teammate rather than making a grown man cry...

KOBE = the Best BASKETBALL Player
Lebron= GREAT athlete in any field

Lebron will learn quickly just like Kobe did that he cant win the championships him self, thus next year he wont be scoring 40+ points a night and rather become a facilitator, Just like Kobe

Fuck Lebron Barley cracks the list in top scoring performances, where as kobe has sevral and #2 at 81 points.

So you say Lebron is better at defence? Hmm

Just wanted to throw out a debate on here for those of us that are NBA fans and are watching the playoffs right not or at all. Who do you think is the better competitor, better player in today's game? Personally I'll say Lebron James has the upper hand when it comes to Kobe Bryant, he's the best player in the NBA. He's a true TEAM player and is a great influence for his franchise and this is not accounting for the usual stat book, the man was MVP for a reason on and off the court.
First off you have to remember who both of them play for. The Lakers are one of (if not the) sickest teams in the NBA. ...The Cavs? ..um yeah they are good....lol if Lebron is playing.

If Lebron played on a good team with people who knew how to play defense (and offense for that matter) then he would be the best hands down. ...As for a better team player? lol Lebron? you have to be kidding. HE IS THE TEAM. If they dont give him the ball they lose, bottom line. ... Kobe has a size disadvantage but honestly he is only 2 inches shorter so he's still a beast (not to mention he is as tall as MJ 6'6" aka the REAL king of the NBA)

Kobe vs Lebron. Who is the best? They both are the best. They both take teams that really arent that good and make them what they are, CHAMPIONS. No one will ever top MJ because you can not have a team like that of the old Chicago Bulls. If your good you get alot of money...Teams cant afford 5 awesome players anymore. hell they can barely afford 2 good players. .... So again I say Kobe vs Lebron? ...they are equal.

Take teams that arent that good? So what you are trying to tell me is that Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Derek Fisher, Luke Walton & Andrew Bynum arn't good players? Hmm really?

Kobe is surrounded by better players than Lebron is hands down...

there are no feelings with kobe.
its about winning and losing.
he's cold blooded.
Do you wnat to win, or do you want to play kiss-ass?

Looks like Kobe's cold hearted ways have the Lake show up 13 at halftime... including a nice 3 at the end with birdman coming out for him.
