Hey Out there Anyone Got Any Suggestions To Help Me Out This Is My 1st DWC Grow
I Have a hydroponic bubbler, a 4 inch airstone, an 8 gallon rubbermaid tote with 2 pots, bought some northern lights and haze seeds. as you can see in the pic my nutrients, I want to do this right this time so any help is appretiated

day 2 i noticed my ph had gone to around 8 so i used g.h. ph down and brought it down to 5. plant is about 1 inch tall other net pot has not sprouted yet ppm was at 767

day3 today 4-5 p[lant doubled in size, did some research and decided to wrap my container in foil tape top to bottom to block out the light, when i did that i noticed a sludge inside the container, so i cleaned it out drained water into storage containers and then put the water back in except about a gallon and put some fresh water in it. next i checked the ph and it was at around 6.5, dropped it back down to 5 with ph down again and put it all back together. right now i only have a single air line with 1 4inch air stone but have more tubing and air stones coming to give it more oxygen.

I wouldn't use any nutes until a couple of weeks into it, once they've started growing.

I'm wondering how 'sludge' entered the container...

ppm is at 673 and the ph is at 6.0 staying strong. have not had to add ph down for 2 days now plant is starting to grow second set of leaves. other seed i think is done for i have a second seed starting now as a back up. i have heard that you should try to keep the roots separate for each plant any suggestions on what to use and where to get it.
when should i start using my hps sodium light ????
right now i have the cfl bulb around 3 inches from plant.
i will post again tomorrow

I used my 400w HPS from day 1 and they're ridiculous now.

I'd suggest Botanicare Pure Blend Pro, Liquid Karma and some GH Diamond Nectar & Floral Nectar.

These are some pretty base questions you have, so you may want to actually read through some other sections of this forum and you will get your answers. My grow journal may have some answers you're looking for but again, you actually have to read and not just expect people to spell everything out for you.

Make sure u cover up that rockwool with hydrodone pebbles or something like aluminium foil or something, because rockwool is a superior medium for plants as well as mold and algae, so no light on it for no algae. Great luck to u again

thanks for the tip i wasn't aware that that could happen, also in your setup i noticed the water pump, i have 2 airsones 1 - 3" and 1 - 4", i tied to hook up multiple airstones with t's and connectors but i guess the pumps i have don't have enough power because when i hooked it up to about 3-4 of them 3" long the bubbles only came out of 1 really good and not the others

quick update last night i flushed all the water but a little to get rid of the nutes, i have been reading and it has been suggested to me to have no nutes until 2 weeks, also i added a whisperer 20 gallon air pump with a 4" air stone, today i am going to organize the pumps and everything a little better in the grow room, it is starting to get cluttered,

QUESTION: Should I use emergency space blankets or some sort of reflective material on the walls, right now it is just all white

So Today the plant Is Looking Good .Modified air system have a fan blowing in cooler air so it is staying around 79 degrees and 41 % humidity inside the grow room now also there is a fan blowing on the tote full of water to keep water cool, the 150 watt hps heats up the room quick, before the modification to the air system it was reaching 91 degrees and up. Plant 1 N.L. x Haze doing good have another starting but it is on day 2

So the roots are growing quick ph is staying balanced, things are looking good.
2nd seed has sprouted and is about an inch and a half decided to put up a space blanket for reflection, i have a 5 gallon bucket getting prepped to have 1 back up plant just in case i have any males

Check it out my plant seems to be doing good, the only thing i have seen wrong is the leaves were curling up, i figured it was getting too hot, so i added a new hole and added a kick ass axial fan that is quiet as hell, so i ordered 2 more to get rid of my loud fans, temp control is easier now, but now i noticed leaves are bending down now not too bad though as you can see in the pics, anyone have any suggestions, i have been thinking about getting some liquid b-1 to perk it up HELP!!! p.s. lambs breath is some good shit

So I Prepped Up a 5 gallon bucket full of water and added 1/4 teaspoon of each of the gh flora series and will let it sit overnight, in the morning I will switch out my water in my grow tub, ph has been adjusted tonight and i will check it in the morning again to be safe

so today i planned out my setup better and changed out my tub for a 5 gallon bucket, then i tossed the other seedling because its lagging.
so on the new setup i have
1 4 inch airsone
1 4.5 inch net basket
hydroton pellets
1 20 gallon tetra whisper pump
3 dragon hydorponic quiet cooling fans
1 intake
1 exaust
and 1 to blowing on the plant
for lighting
2 24 watt 1600 lumens cfl bulbs hangin 1 on each side
1 150 watt hps grow light
ph is between 5-6
ppm is around 600 before i added nutes
now its at 550
i will post again within a day or 2

Word. I was 24/0 until about 8 or 9 inches tall, then I went to 18/6 for a week before 12/12 and the bulb change. Worked out good for me.. but my plant is waaaaay taller than I wanted it to be.

i have read, to keep height down keep the lights closer like 1 foot for hps and 1-2 inches for cfls and keep adjusting
2 of my leaves i have noticed have small yellow spots not many but i am keeping my eye on them as you can see 1 leaf is curling upside down? weird
