So I was looking at YouTube vids... and I came across a video advertising this website... It's a canadian website listing people who have STDs...

How do YOU feel about this? Right? Wrong? Completely screwed up?

I stumbled across the website while my fiancee is on the phone with customers (she works from home)

I currently want to beat the shit out of the webmaster, just for the dumb loud audio.

they have ppls names... would you like it if they had your name and info posted on there?

I have a hard time with this . . . it's like a good idea mixed with a very bad idea. its like putting those people on the spot while trying to stop std's . . .

I don't think it'll work, and I don't agree with this based on that.
 
exactly, and I dont think it requires any sort of legitimate documentation to put someone on their... seems borderline illegal to me. and HELLA fucked up...

I dont think people should be outed like that... if you have an STD it is between you and your partner, not for everyone to know


especially considering people are still so ignorant about STDs.
 
I've never been a fan of mandatory listings. sex offenders or otherwise. what good can come of this? only further social divide.
 
i think this is illegal? or at least that's what i learned in business law!

Invasion of privacy is a commonly used cause of action in legal pleadings. In the United States, the development of the doctrine regarding this tort was largely spurred by an 1890 Harvard Law Review article written by Samuel D. Warren and Louis D. 2. Public disclosure

Public disclosure of private facts arises where one person reveals information which is not of public concern, and the release of which would offend a reasonable person.[9] "Unlike libel or slander, truth is not a defense for invasion of privacy."[10] Disclosure of private facts includes publishing or widespread dissemination of little-known, private facts that are non-newsworthy, not part of public records, public proceedings, not of public interest, and would be offensive to a reasonable person if made public.
