I'm stocking up on popcorn for when we watch the riots on TV
Go t me beat..Bought a '56 Buick for the daughter so she could"restore" it...Sold it 6 months later*l* Did get more than was paid though.Hey, you need a good mechanic,~LOL~? I bought my last new vehicle 5 years ago, 1 more year and it's paid for. I figure barring crashes, this truck will outlast me, 5 years and 16,000 miles. Heck, I won't even get to use my warranty, (7-70). Still has the new car smell, or was that my farts? I'll bet I have the oldest car on this site, a 1962 Chevy Nova.
.........."smores.........I'm stocking up on popcorn for when we watch the riots on TV
thats exactly what my post was supposed to convey. Did it convey something else to you? Or are you just agreeing with me? Sorry you now have me confused with your comment, as I thought we were saying the same thing here.the federal reserve mafia is who had kennedy killed..through the CIA i might add..how do i KNOW this you might ask?LOL..i cant tell you for fear of my life....
My 62 2 door HT has a 500 HP 383, 700R4 and a 411 8.5 10 bolt. I'm still building it. I'm working on the front end now, trying to get all the aftermarket pieces to work. On yours', are the strut rod adjusting nuts frozen, man those are tough. I think I'll need a heat wrench. Sometimes building a hot rod isn't that much fun. There are a few long roofs that run in the 9s, hows yours?Medicineman- Got me beat by few years. 66 nova wagon 23k orig. miles
yes, HONDA's. http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/list/mostpopular/Yes, yes, yes..... it is the physics which kills you.
Older cars cannot grip the road as well, they cannot brake as well, they cannot absorb the shock of impact as well. It's not all about weight and material used....don't forget, ur the rag doll in that rigid steel box coming to a all too sudden stop. The odds are against YOU, not the newer car. Of course if we can pick and choose who we collide with (Honda's?), that would help, but from what i have been able to gather, it doesn't work that way
out.
Sure, go ahead and collide with my Honda Pilot. You will crumple.lol
Sounds great. I have basically all new suspension parts, stock though except the front discs. I went to a 2 inch drop spindle, but the tires rubbed. I then put new V8 springs, but they still rubbed, so I bought a whole new front brake kit with stock spindles and they still rub, I'm so pissed off that I've quit working on it for the last 6 months. I'm pretty sure I need to burn those strut rods loose or off and replace them, I have 15 inch front wheels and tires on a car designed for 13 inch tires and rims. they look great, but rub the front edge of the wheel well, which a strutrod adjustment would solve. I need to get back into the project. This spring when it warms up probably, at my age, rolling around on a cold concrete floor doesn't seem all that appealing. The computer specs for my car, if it hooks, is low 11s, High 10s. That ought to get the blood going, 120-130 in the quarter in a car designed to go maybe 80-85 top end with the old 6 banger, yehaw!Medicineman- check out CCP- I got the tubular lower control arm kit eliminating strut rods, makes it fully adjustable for alignment. Comes with lockout plates so it wont move and I gain 3" clearance on bottom. 327cid 385 hp th350 8.2 posi 3:73. multileaf springs, dot drags pushin her along. Light car 2800lb-goes 12's more street rod. Would love to post pic but only one around here too suspicious.
